Umm thanks but when did you test my patience?
Factions are a slippery slope to walk. Two naga units can be few to some, three one too many. I would personally like one more as the coral maiden is more of a medusa remix, however I rather like the rest of the units. Strangely I'm even warming up to the snow maiden, pun not intended. Possibly because I love her model
Anyways I just found it surprising to simply give up on H6 because you did not like one unit, if you hate what they did to the faction it's understandable.

If there was one more Naga unit, it'd have a snake tail as well so people would be saying "half of the lineup is variation of the same unit three times" like they are already doing with the Orcs so it's a lose-lose situation.

When I made my Naga faction I only had two Naga units, three if you include the Muclindia. The diffrence is every thing my faction is a subtle (Note subtle) refrence to the orginal legends and the cultures that created them.
I made very little refrence to Japanese culture because Japan only took passing intrest in Naga compared to Cambodia, which has statues of them up the wazoo. My only refrence to them was my mention of a race of "white Naga" that lived in the "north east islands" that did not survie the elder wars.
Furthermore although I had sea creatures as alternative upgrades I did not make the Naga themselves into sea creatures. This is because Naga are often mistaken for mermaids in westren culture (though there or legends of Naga having ocean civilizations). I was afraid Ubisoft would make that mistake and frankly they did.

The fact that they rally aquatic creatures/spirits has nothing to do with their town. Sharkman? He's a beastman, not a sea creature. Kappa? Water spirit. Snow maiden? Same. Water lady? That too. Kirin? Not a sea creature either.

Hmmm...well...I suppose I could wait to learn more about this new faction. It's not like I ever had anything agianst Japanese culture. Seeing Naga outside of the tropics is going to be something I am going to have to get used to though.
When this project is done I would be intrested to hear the thoughts of developers who story borded this new game. Do you suppose the people who created this new faction will be interviewed when the game is released?

I thought the orcs had the jungle this time around. Besides the snow maidin doesn't strike me as the tropical type.

(thinks about that a minute) I guess it's no use arguing about it.

My appoligies. I heard a rumor they were from the Pao Islands which looked forested on the map http://might-and-magic.ubi.com/heroes-6/en-GB/story/map/index.aspx.
In addition the units looked like they were dressed in cliche jungle clothing so I got confused, and this picture added to the confustion http://www.celestialheavens.com/show_big_potd.php?id=427
Thank you for the clarification.

The Jaguar Warrior.
Among the Pao Islands' Orcs, the Jagua Warriors are elite berserkers. Of their people, they are the tallest, the strongest and the meanest. To become a Jaguar Warrior, an Orc brave must first kill a saber-toothed jaguar, one of the fiercest predators of the islands, with his bare hands. Needless to say, the mask of a Jaguar Warrior often hides numerous scars earned during this perilous rite of passage. In combat, they rush violently and blindly into the enemy, raking with their obsidian claws. Jaguar Warriors are often used as honor guard by the greatest Orc chieftains and shamans.
The Panther Warrior is the upgraded Jaguar Warrior.

Another cool one!
The DreamWalker
Orcs pray to Mother Earth and Father Sky, but Dreamwalkers are the voices of the tribes’ ancestors.
To become a Dreamwalker, a shaman must first undertake a dream journey to the Spirit World to meet the spirits of his Ancestors. During this inner journey, the Dreamwalker must also face his own demonic heritage and destroy the Chaos within himself.
Many Dreamwalkers die during this trail. Those who survive return transformed: their body twisted and deformed by their struggle with their chaotic blood, yet having gained a greater understanding of blood magic and the spiritual realms.
The Dreamreaver is the upgraded Dreamwalker.

I like the Dreamwalker/reaver except for the weapon. Idk, it's weird for a shaman.

A bit premature to be making that list isn't it, I mean we'll probably be getting Sylvan and Dungeon in the first XPack.

Where does all this troglodyte love come from anyway? Sure I liked their H3 incarnation as a subterranean tier 1 but never found them particularly interesting. And their H4 version pretty much sucked.

Troglodytes all the way! Elvin, they are great! They MUST add them.
Also we need more dragons. Heroes without gomels, titans, with only one snake like dragon, without mages, without elvers, without dwarfs... it's not heroes anymore.

Everything in H4 sucked, no exceptions. The Troglodyte love is because it's one of the few original designs of H3. They were not interesting at all. Actually they were the same as almost every other tier 1 unit in the game. It was just their design and nothing else. But if they would be recreated now, they would have their own fair share of abilities to come with, and keeping their unique design, that's gonna make them better than ever.
