How did you come to that conclusion?
Just because of that there are 2 campaign-only Dark elf Heroes, one faceless champion creature and big black dragon boss?
I do agree with that it is pretty likely though, but it is no way confirmed.

They really need Academy, Sylvan, and then Dungeon. They can do 3 more races and not gouge us for 3 expansions.
Academy and Sylvan are definitely a must.

I think we can be certain that at best ubihole will give us one faction per expansion. Or at least that is what I would guess from the fact we only got 5 factions this time around.

I think that because there are only 5 factions in the game we can be sure,that there will probably more than 1 faction per expansion.
I if they would only give us 1 faction per expansion it would mean,that in order to return all classic factions(sylvan,academy and dungeon) they would have to make 3 expansions and if they want to let the dwarves return(which is quite likely if you keep in mind,that they are referenced several times and that they even got a new logo for the picture with the fire dragon),they would have to make 4 expansions which would be too many expansions.
So I rather think they are going to give at least 2 factions per expansion,this way it will also boost the sells of the expansions and they can be sure,that no one will complain about the expansions not adding that much to the game.

I'd be happy with just the Academy being added for the first expansion and possibly the Fortress. The longer elves are omitted from the game, the better in my opinion.

OK, my two cents: I'd suppose two expansion packs. Now, if there is only one faction per expansion, I'd bet on Sylvan for the first one, featuring their split and some neutral or campaign only Dungeon (dark elf) units. Althought it could less possibly be vice versa, Dungeon with Sylvan neutrals. And for the second expansion I guess Academy, because of the lore and because a lot of people here find this boring faction interesting. (I only consider them boring since H5, they were fine in previous installments.)
Should there be two factions per expansion, as we all hope, my bet would be Sylvan and Academy for the first with features mentioned above and Dungeon and Fortress for the second. It would include the Dark elven story with building Dungeon forces, allying with minotaurs and hydras and such and then war between Dwarves and elves from the dwarven point of view.

To my understanding increased graphica demands make creating factions more difficult and costly so therefore the possibilty of 2 factions per expansions seems dubious. But I've been surpised before.

If they can't make proper town screens for release, then I think it is very naive to think that they would make TWO towns for ONE expansion. That would also take twice as long time to balance.
Plus it doesn't really make any sense to do that, they would just lose money.

For me, they should make one new faction and Elves.
Elves are just something like house brand to Heroes. I can't imagine this game without them.
New Faction would be great, but I think that in MM:H6 there wil be no more new races, when not counting the Nagas (Where are only two nagas...)
I think that there will be Academy. Mages are a "house brand" too.
That's my opinion.

yea you're right. Their work ethic shows
Sylvan and Academy are a no-brainer though. Without those two they are losing two staples to the series. They already made Inferno sort of like dungeon, putting the Warlock with them.

I don't know how you can see inferno in h6 as a replacement for dungeon in any way.
Except for the fact that one of the magical heroes of inferno is now named warlock,there is really nothing that inferno and dungeon have in common,the creatures are nearly all totally different and their gameplay is also rather different(inferno has more offensive creatures)
and we should not forget,that the dungeon heroes were not always called warlock,in H4 they were called sorcerer,so it maybe simply possible,that since there are so many hero-classes in the game they decided to use the warlock for the inferno town,whil using the sorcerer for the dungeon

So what will they call the 6 Dungeon heroes? The Dark Guy, The Evil Dude, The Extra Evil Guy, The Maniac, The Not Cool Guy (special ability: no money and still eats pizza), and the Menopausal Woman.
Warlock was pretty much fit for Dungeon.

Here's my attempt:
Sorcerer -> B.Sybarite / T.Mystic
Firebrand -> B.Blackguard / T.Demagogue
I'm sure they'll manage to come up with something equally half-arsed.

If they are going to make a pack with Dungeon in it, then they will probably also have Sylvan and the Dwarves. Why? Because they would probably go through the whole banishment and Kins Wars, and then the first Clan wars against the Dark Elves.

Might classes of the dungeon have either way nothing to do with the inferno classes,but they could be classes like assassin,slave driver or overlord
As for the magic classes they could use sorcerer,sect leader,bloodmage or occultist,or whatever they like,I mean after all they can invent classes like they want.

Shadow for the might hero and Silhouette for the magic hero would be nice for me

Heresy Overlord would work nicely though. The trick is getting a decent magic hero class. Sorcerer wouldn't do since female heroes would be called sorceresses. That's blasphemus and I will personally execute anyone that tries to put a sorceress into dungeon Though we know that sorceress will not be used in sylvan, there is a mention of a druid class in one of the bios.
