Just got the e-mail...I really got to check my mail more than every two days lol. My Legacy points was 472 in the end...I think thats a good number but Im not sure. And I'm up for whatever in the planning stages of Session 2. If we dont form The Tournament of Honor right away I might try my hand at the Merchant/Mercenary Allaince for awhile until it does get started up. If it panes out that could gather a lot of information on neighbors and potential victoms/new Allaince members.....just don't tottally trash me if I do please lol.
Vesuvius -join us on this new temp alliance on titan Dragcun

Is that correct for test servers too?!

yeah, I wouldn't bother with the legacy points for the test server. Save them, and we continue to discuss what would be our preference on what are the best legacies for now.

Apparently email referrals are working, even though link referrals aren't. So, if you want me to start next to you on the test server, send me a PM.
Vesuvius sent!

On the test server I noticed that most alliance members are way ahead. Did I start a day late or do I just have a crappy slow start?
Vesuvius - everything is sped up 3x on this server, so even if you start a day late, it will seem that you're far behind. Again, this is a test server so don't worry about a perfect start. This is mostly for us to meet up and get to work together learning more about s2

Alliance planning
Here's my current thinking on town types, heroes, and legacies:
- Paladins are the best units in the game, by a considerable margin. If you're Sylvan or Academy, you may want enough Haven towns and Charismatic Leaders to spend all your gem production on Paladins. We won't be able to have *everyone* do this--in particular, there are only so many good gold/gem/gem/x settle spots on the map--but to the extent the map supports it, I think it's a good idea. (More important for Academy, which has terribad units, than Sylvan, which can get by with Unicorns.)
- The best long-range tear stealer is Academy Protector. Summoning provides Earthquake for offense and Phoenix for defense, Light provides Teleportation (still better than the alternatives even post-nerf) and Deflect Missile.
- As I mentioned in an earlier comment, Haven and Sylvan cannot use their Legacy hero bonus on a 60/0/60! Academy can, though.
So I propose the following arrangement:
- we have a special force of a few guys who really understand the early game (I'm willing to be part of it) playing Haven. Once we become eligible for our sixth city, we settle a whole bunch of them *to be immediately gifted to Academy and Sylvan players interested in building Paladins*. (For those who don't know, city #6 provides the best deal when it comes to settle cost vs. NPC power/resources.) Once everyone has sufficient Paladin production arranged, then we resume regular development.
- our most aggressive players outside this special force should play Academy, so they can make good use of their Legacy hero bonus, and can start developing their future Tear stealers early. They may pause to gift a few Academy cities to Haven players wanting to try their hand at Tear-stealing (I know I'd like to be gifted 1-2 of them if I go Haven).
We'll definitely want some guys playing other factions too, to take full advantage of the mines in our territory (somebody needs to be able to settle a gold/gold/mercury/sulfur square...), but I like the idea of a Haven-Academy core.

I am likely to redo the necro-inferno combo consuming mercury/sulfur/crystal like in the previous run - worked pretty well.

Then you get first claim to any gold/gold/sulfur/crystal squares!
Probably don't want to have more than one player in the alliance doing this--better to focus on two stacks rather than three--but one player is fine.

I can go academy if there are no objections, I don't think i understand the early game quite well enough to play haven yet.

you can test heredity points
hi,
you can update your heredity choices as many time you want.
It is "fixed" only when you enter a new world (S2 for those S1 heredity points).
And if you play an other S2 world it will be reset, so you can test an other configuration.
see you
Lucie

What I meant to say is that I intend to play in close collaboration with an Inferno player, him stacking units on sulfur (Infernal horse I think), me stacking units on mercury (Arch Lichs) and/or crystal (Wraiths).
