My Use Magic Device is still too low to reliably use wands, but I'm planning on using them.
The only slot with a charge that I'm using right now is my belt, which has See Invisibility (and +2 strength).

Use magic device? I don't think I've invested in it. It's a feat or enchantment right? I wonder what clerics start with, maybe there's a limit to how many cross class skills I can use, or of what level.. please enlighten me!
PS: Where do you need see invisibility and is it vital? Is it often?

I haven't hardly needed it. I've been poking around for a different belt, but right now most of my money is tied up in other bids (like an awesome staff and trinket).
Use Magic Device is a skill that rogues get that allows you to use wands and scrolls that you otherwise wouldn't be able to use. So as a rogue, I'd eventually be able to use a Wand of Cure Moderate Wounds or a Wand of Blur. Normally, you have to be an arcane spellcaster to use a Wand of Blur, or a divine caster to use a Wand of Curing.

Oh right. I had forgotten charges from items and wands aren't the same thing. I recall I couldn't use even level 1 wizard/sorc scrolls.
So how much money do you have? I remember I had around 100000 gold or something similar. Though that was nothing compared to Will, who had an item he could sell for, I think 1000000 gold.
PS: I may have been forgetting some extra zero's, it's so long ago, I hardly can remember.

I think I have ~30k plat right now (but most of it is tied up on bids at the Auctioneer)
I also have a valuable trinket I'm selling at a buyout price of 50k, and the minimum bid is at 10k. So hopefully in 2 days that will yield a nice chunk of change.

So I read shortly about use magical device (UMD) and I was wondering, could one basicly make a rogue, invest massively in intelligence (for extra skill points), wisdom/char for better spells and make a caster that can use every spell in the game efficient? What is the maximum one can get a skill up to? I imagine it would require something like a skill level of UMD at 60 to have 100% succes with everything all the time.
Heck does it mean that a level 1 char basicly have a chance of casting level 10 spells!? That would be extreme!! Imagine a level 1 rogue/bard casting... I'm blank. Blank cause I'm an in game pacifist!!
Edit: Meroe will be sad and furious with herlsef when she finds out about our conversation and how she missed such a great opportunity of orgasmic proportion to indulge in her most climaxic endavours!

No. Wands only go up to level 3 spells, which are really weak compared to the spells a wizard or cleric would be slinging around at high levels. The main point of wands is for buffs that you might not be able to get from another party member (like using a Wand of Blur) and keeping some curing wands for in between combat. So when the cleric dies and everybody is like 'ZOMG!' I can put on my sunglasses and bust out my phallic wand and cure myself.

Oh, but I found a spell that autores' me, so it's cool, you'll still make me feel like I've wasted my whole clerichood cause you had to go out of your way to be able to heal yourself!
How about scrolls, are they limited to level 3 as well?
Metoer Swarm from a level 1 rogue in a pvp fight, that would be a surprise I imagine!

So on an impulse I removed Oscarii and bought the Warforged race...Oscarii #2, being a dual-wielding Warforged Fighter is however newly created, even though I've barely played with him due to some current internet troubles. (Slooooow connection)
I was first thinking of making an WF Archmage for fun magics and self-healing...but I felt that I'd rather just bash stuff for now. (And I want to use the newly bought race...)
Still on the fence whether I'll go for Khopeshs or B-Swords. As we already got a (relatively) high-level fighter that is seemingly using the dual B-swords I'll probably go for the Khopeshs...but they are expensive. 
Ah well, it'll probably be fun, and HOPEFULLY I'll be able to log in later today, or tonight.

Scrolls can go up to any level, although a scroll is a one-time use. I suppose if you had a super high UMD you could theoretically sling around spells as though you were a high level caster, but you would need an ungodly huge amount of money to be constantly buying expensive scrolls, and you would be taking up all of your inventory space
Wands do not replace casters. When you're in a high level dungeon, you want something a lot stronger than some guy casting a bunch of crappy level 3 spells from a wand. You need The Forf.

Could someone please explain how I can get a good AC using robes? An AC of 20-24 is rubbish around lv6.  My fighter4/rogue4 has 37 and not nearly as much dex. I just don't get it. At least now that I have a puncturing rapier, precision and a base +20 to hit, things get as squishy as I am pretty fast

forfy, why don't you fly over to california and marry meroe already, the sexy tension is so chumpy you can carve it.

Funny you should mention it. We tried that, but then future me (who seems to have dissapeared) came in and told me about how I'd come to hate her. As such I decided to avoid her since I had already booked the travel and I ended up trying to be a hobo for a week. It was some experience I tell ya!
Btw. about the UMD and the amount of scrolls required. Imagine real life money is no problem, couldn't one basicly not just invest enough money and have an unlimited supply of scrolls then?

Isn't "little soldiers" another term for cocktail frankfurts? Or is that "little boys"? Maybe she meant little boys? They say that people often try to reveal intimate and shocking details about themselves through coded messages... which means that either way she must be giving us a veiled hint about her "little secret" (she's a transsexual or a paedophile).
