That wasn't the corsetting I was referring too. However, I have noticed some seriously skimpy outfits in ddo recently. I imagine they are custom made through the ddo store, but literally they are just a couple of strings meshed together. For female toons obviously *raises eyebrows*

Only a few strings and a lot of naked skin? No no no that's no good! Females must have a lot of clothes on!! Preferably they must look nothing like human at all, have a lot of shapes and curves, or what is the ultimate turn on (as long as you don't think where it came from) fur! Actually so much fur that she's just a fur ball with an entrance, that'd simply be perfect!

I just found out that the advice I took on my build is massively antiquated and that my character will be rubbish in a couple of levels. Very disappointing.

I've noticed a constant demand for healers, and eventually I decided to do the unspeakable: I created a favored soul.
We'll see how much I end up playing him. Hopefully the fact that entire hosts of people will prostrate themselves before my feet for my divine powers will placate the void in my soul from not being at the forefront of battle, pulverizing the enemy and narrowly dodging bubbly acid traps at every turn.
I also hit level 11 with Zerru yesterday. He's shaping up to be a real winner. So far I'm still pleased with his build. Having the right group makes all the difference in the world. The first half of level 10 was a drag and the second half whizzed by like a comet.

Well done Blizz on Zerru.  Although it gets harder now.
Favored souls are easier to play than healers. I prefer them. ARe you going to go for pure healing FvS or battlecleric type?
They also have a rather nifty prestige enhancement. Although personally I haven't really notice what or if is worthwhile??

From the looks of it, Favored Souls don't have any prestiges.
He's going to be caster-heavy, with feats and enhancements juicing up his offensive and healing spells, while neglecting melee.
I'm also juicing up his toughness so that he's a nice fat little porcupine with high survivability. I'm going to be using a tower shield and I'm taking dwarven armor mastery to squeeze out some more AC. That way my fat, hairy dwarven butt can keep chucking out spells.
His name is Wildberry Barrelbelly, whenever somebody wants to add him sometime.

I'm excited that someone will be starting anew with me! Especially someone who happens to play now-and-again! My new character has overwritten my old character Marloh (heh, confused everyone into thinking I was talking about Meroe) and is also a drow ranger, but this time the stats aren't completely tarded. Also my feats will move towards the Tempest prestige.
@Meroe I consulted the DDO wiki link to tempest ranger and followed the build, only to find that it was made waaaaaaay before many of the current aspects of the game were in place. As such, the poster said that the build was actually pretty bad and that it should be done quiet differently. Here I was wondering why everyone was raving about a character that I was having a really hard time with... 
EDIT: Please take some time to look at the H5.5 new faction idea that I have been working on and tell me what you think. So far people have mostly said that they want H3 or H6 stuff instead. These aren't ideal responses... and I would appreciate some more constructive feedback. So please, help a brother baron out and have a gander (or a goose, I don't care).

You're remaking the same race/class That's harsh.
This is the 2nd time you've gotten to level 8, became disappointed with your character, and then remade. You better get it right this time Baron my boy. If you ever have any questions about your build, feel free to present it here and I will deliver a shrewdly honest verdict as to whether it sucks or not.

I hear you blizz, if this doesn't look to turn out the way I want, then I will probably top myself. I was pretty happy with how I could inflict con damage and rarely miss with my last guy, but I think you actually have to do some damage for a crit confirmation to even occur, which at higher levels was very difficult. This came from putting almost all my ability points into dex, cutting my con, strength and wisdom all to levels that were seriously sub-par. Without a reasonable (or buffed) wisdom I couldn't cast high level ranger spells, without str I had no damage modifier and was easily encumbered, and without con I would die in 2 hits! I also had 3! feats that I needed to retrain, and I couldn't afford that with good ol'freddy.
My current build has (off the top of my head) 15 str (13/14 previously), 18 dex (20!), 14 con (12), 10 int, 12 wis (11)and 10 cha.
I'm favoring undead to start, then will probably head for giants/aberrations/elves and then evil outsiders. I figure that undead are everywhere, also they are unable to be critted; 2nd one am a bit undecided, I hear that giants are good to favor, but now they're actually pretty squishy; and I imagine late game that there must be a truck load of devils and things that have DR and such.
Also going to go piercing focus with rapier/shortsword and sometimes with adamantium shield for DR. Outfits of invul also for DR and mainly dex for AC. Maybe get Black Widow WW bracers for bonus to AC. Need to no more about getting Tempest prestige.
So yeah.
