So any major changes from the old beta?
Any new abilities?
New adventure map objects?
Have town screens improved? Are more buildings showing up etc?
More heroes?

The game just seems more polished overall from the old beta. Still not in release state of course, but it's getting there.
The skill trees for the heroes seem a little more complete now (I don't think there was any lvl 3 skills in old beta).
Adventure map seem about the same, as is the town screen.
The heroes you can hire from taverns actually have names and bio now, as well as specialization. But you don't get to choose a hero at the beginning of the game. you need to create one and choose it at the beginning of the hot seat game.

Game crashes everytime just after connecting to conflux. I uninstall the previous beta and now the new one and try to reinstall, hope it will work...Someone played with vampire lords? Still invincible?

The game crushes after i click play and when stuuf loads ( the blackhole and ubisoft and stuff advertisments ) and then it just crushes. Is it because I have the other closed beta in a different folder and they have the same stuff ?

Possibly. At the very least though, the level requirement has been lowered to 5 and 15 (was 15 and 30 before right?), and the progression has been changed a little bit (might also be wrong about this).

Well from what I''ve seen in the private beta this seems reasonable:
- Getting to 5 already takes plenty of time (unless you set a high xp multiplier in the multiplayer mode).
- Even at level 7-8 I had troubles deciding which of the t1 skills was still useful to me. (there are just way too many active skills of which only a few seemed to top the heroes' basic attack)
Anyway I really don't like the way the skills and spells are learned now and prefered the categorized talent trees of H4-5.
And there would certainly have been better ways to make spell-aquiring less random than removing mage guilds and shrines /:

Level 5? Feels REALLY early. I think they should just speed up leveling on normal setting. When I tried fastest in the private beta, the enemy hero was level 18 in like 4 days and I wa like level 7. xD
As for the Mage guilds, I agree. I think they should have kept Mage/Warrior Guilds (for active Might abilities) but they should not have been random. Instead you would be able to choose which spells that would be in your Mage/Warrior Guild, so that there would still be a point in building other Mage guilds in other towns.
I just wish they had kept them in some way. It feels odd to have to spend points on spells instead of passive skills.
I must say that I actually think that the factions felt more different in Heroes 5 with all the unique racial skills such as Mark of the Necromancer etc and I kind of miss that there isnt any unique, racial skills anymore.
Also have reputation gains been increased now? They were REALLY slow in the closed closed beta and I did not reach a single reputation level in a single Broken Alliance map.
Also on the Broken Alliance map, have they fixed the Mines so that under the mines there isn't a square of textures that does not fit with the rest of the textures? (its hard to explain, but if you look in-game you will notice if there is an ugly square of different terrain under the mines).

After having TRIED to play the tutorial campaign for a while, I admit I am not amused. I have experienced the following problems:
- Game crashing when my internet goes down
- Game crashing for no apparent reason
- Auto-save function not working
- Game closing from closing the game window instead of another overlapping one!
- Autoscroll to top left corner!
- It also says Label three times at my top right at the main menu...

1) Some idea I could think of (which is close to the H4/5 ones) would be to have a talent for each spell school (light,water,dark,...) that would then allow you to learn spells of that school from mage guilds (maybe at a price or only 1 new spell every X level plenty of possibilities to keep the randomness out) and then have perks that either increase overall potency of the school (like +X% power and Y duration to light spells) or a single spell (like 1 more turn for regeneration, or allowing it to already heal 1 tick on use).
2) Same with me as I really really loved the idea behind H5 Stronghold, while the new Stronghold feels somewhat boring without the "Kill or Die" mentality they had in H5. Also after playing H5 having Caster-Orks feels wrong - i want my Warcry Barbarians back :/
But then the racial actives and passives I've seen so far aren't that bad (although I don't understand why they removed the -real- necromancer ability)
3) I've reached it in the campaign map (and that was even though I didn't even do the first map) and so far it seems more like a campaign perk (where you'd probably be able to get both alignments to max) than a Scenario/MP perk.

The campaign is miles beyond the campaign in Heroes V. You actually want to find out what happens next, rather than drudging through just to get to the next level.
Also, Dynasty Weapons. Very neat idea - although there is a distinct lack of information regarding their abilities.

Hmm, when I've killed Toughal (or whatever his name was) and converted the town, I get my artifact, press end game and then continue... But the game doesn't end. I mean, the map isn't "finished"... I can't even walk around after using my movement points.
Edit: Am I supposed to start at level 1 on the next map wen I was at lvl 4 (almost 5) at the one before?
Edit 2: According to manual, no... Darn.

downloaded in about 5 min from steam. played w/ my wife for the last 3 hrs.
It's great! music is perfect, game is promising.
town windows... ... are an embarrassment to the series.
but artwork is amazing. animation is good. music again, is phenomenal. amount of money/day vs how many creatures there are to buy seems imbalanced... i.e not enough money... ... what else...
menu is fine, once you find where everything is... tweak the speed up a little and it hits a sweet spot... graphics decent overall...
Totally totally miss sulfer, mercury, gems.... ... I definately am feeling that lack at the moment.
Really like the skill trees... that might turn out nice, albeit very different. ... ... what else... ... some archery animations seem a bit hasty/quick (necro spears). ... obviously beta so a few placeholder mouseovers that will obviously be fixed soon...
overall looks great and cant wait to see final product.
