Thanks god on multiplayer map are no more limit on hire secondary heroes (was 1 hero per owned town).

I haven't tried town conversion yet, but I thought a converted town would automatically be level 0  so to speak.

Oh well, Beta Impressions, then, starting off

Good

- Awesome music, i love Heroes 2 music remake. Makes me go back to 13 years ago Biggest asset of the game i found yet
- Mature non-cartoonish combat graphics.
- Menu design.
- World map design and graphic.
- Heroes Design.

Bad

- No town screen, i was skeptical at first, but it is indeed a big empty void in the game.
- Complicated heroes advancement tree, it's playable, and understandable, but for some older players (many of heroes series fans are real old folk) it will be a great problem and great diffculty.
- Spell's and abilities - same as above.
- Santuary, overly japanesed, at least don't put the creatures name's in two languages at once... Not like i hate japanese (i know JP language to some degree).
- Where are dragons :Z
- Again, hard to understand menu (older folks-wise)

As you see main problems for me are the town screen, and if i consider some older heroes fans, the new mechanics that will be hard for them to understand and master, which can make them drop the game (i base it on my family which are heroes freaks ever since long time ago;])

Nope, just destroys the unique buildings so far as I know. They are quite expensive to replace but far from essential.

Hi im new to this fourm, but i read most of the pages so im up to date.
Anyway im old school too and I cant understand the new battle log...
what is the equale of 5 morale in h5 to h6? I tried to understand it but i didnt got it. Is there any chance some1 will create a guide to skills tree?
btw, sorry for my bad english, my first language is hebrew and its not dam close to any thing useful ^_^.

My suggestion to Ubisoft would be a button to let you zoom your town screen to full screen.


That way when the game is released I won't have to do any cropping to add to the town themes I have recorded already

same here, i checked today and I was logged in with a different account that didnt get the beta key. So  I then logged on the account that got the key from Ubisoft and then it came up with a screen to activate a key but it said that the key is incorrect. The game still crushes after Conflux loads :/ HELP!!

Would mediocrity really look much better in full screen? Would this mediocrity then be interactive? No and no.

Little cheap-ugly town screens and units portrayed in tiny circles (not more than their heads visible) make me feel like half of the game is missing. It doesn't feel like "visiting your town" or "visiting your troops" at all.

When I click play it says synchronizing savegames and it loads forever! Anybody has this problem aswell?

Just for explanation on Luck and Morale:

Both can have values up to 100 (and be negative), and the number is equal to the percentage probability Luck/Morale trigger.

So Luck 34 means, there is a 34% chance that Luck triggers.
The rtigger effect is down to 50%: 50% more damage for a lucky (critical) hit; 50% movement points and damage when getting morale.

Also attack and defense do not transfer in a linear way anymore from hero to creatures (that's why the hero still has a number, but creature "resistance" is given in % - (damage resisted). Obviously the damage reduction will get always smaller, the higher the hero defense gets. It starts with about 2.5% for a point and then gets slowly down.

I just want to call them if there is any solution in solving the crushing issue with the conflux I asked yesterday how to fix the problem with the homepage and they helped instantly without paying barely nothing for the call

anyone else get the problem where if you play an AI on normal on broken alliance they would only get core units and 1 elite unit 2 or 3 months into the game?
also when playing broken alliance during my opponents turn, it shows their battles...

That's still not fixed? It was present in the private beta as well.

A side note: if you want to play in windowed mode to enable alt-tabbing, hit Alt+Enter. The program may crash, but when you restart it it will be windowed.

I don't get why people are having problems with the Conflux crash. I have it too but if you turn off your internet connection while the launcher is on, its fine and the game runs.

So I just played some with Inferno and these are my impressions:

GOOD
* They doubled Reputation gains which was very much needed and is really nice!

* They made spells have a 3 turn cooldown which I think was needed because otherwise people would just spam Healing spells all the time.

* They nerfed healing spells and abilities and I grabbed Regenration while playing as Inferno and it certainly did not feel overpowered.

* They added/improved more description though pretty much all are bugged.

* There are LOTS of heroes! Its so fun to see some old Heroes 3 heroes getting back into the game!

* They replaced the Artifact Merchant shop model! I had a feeling that maybe UbiHole were being lazy and intended to keep the Blacksmith model for it.

* The polished Skill system is much better than in the private beta. The skills seem pretty balanced and skills like Logistics isnt even a must have because you dont really care about 3% movement speed unless it is for a secondary hero. I can't believe Mentor was buffed to 75% XP though. This allowed me to make two secondary heroes above level 5, one had architect and the other all nescessary "pick up" resources skills. Also their "Improve the Market" skills stacked, making the market rates VERY OP.

* I love the special builing for Inferno which allows you to place a portal within your control area. Very useful and nice. Much better than the boring "Improve Gating!!!" which sucks in H6.

BAD

* I feel that Inferno is much weaker than Haven and Necropolis in the private beta. Some suggestions: Raise their survivability a bit, replace the Lilims Enthrall (which was bugged, didn't break on damage) into Seduce from TotE and nerf Haven whos Elite line-up is amazing compared to Inferno.

* Inferno town screen was messed up. No special buildings or walls showed up, not even on the adventure map.

* Gating SUCKS!!! I had like 50 Lilims and it gated 3 new ones... Call Reinforcements skill also sucked.

* Town windows duh.

* Still missing some adventure map objects such as the Witch Hut and the Quest buildings.

* I hate the Reputation system. Which do I need to spend additional time fighting even more neutrals in order to get Blood reputation? Why do I gain Tear reputation just because I want to use a defensive spell once in a while? Lame. Hate the system.


And now I'm off to the official forums. I am making a LIST OF ALL BUGS in-game thread there unless one that is better than my idea of it has been made.

Used to work with enter only in the private beta.
