Poll Question:
Assuming we got two factions in one stone..
Which two would you rather get? Since sylvan, dungeon and academy are the top 3 popular factions and the most likely to be included, the poll will only feature a combination of those three. For the record I have absolutely no idea what ubi's plans are so don't take this as a semi-confirmation of two planned factions for the next addon - I'm merely curious. While at that, feel free to say what you liked in the previous incarnation of the factions or what you felt was missing.
What I would mostly like to get is dungeon and academy. H6 already has a pure might faction, what is missing from the picture is one of pure magic and this is where academy comes in. And with one good faction in, it would make sense that the other is evil. For the record dungeon is considered as leaning towards magic. Of course all those are excuses, I just love academy and dungeon  As for elves.. While I am interested in seeing what BH has in store for them, I cannot say they are in my top list. I hope they will be less cheesy this time around.

I am positively insulted that the Dwarves of Fortress are not included. I'd much rather see a stouthearted Dwarf at my side(or screen) than some pansy Elves of any description or a poncy Wizzard.
In all seriousness, I'd say that the War under the Mountain between the Dark Elves and the Dwarves would make the most interesting Campaign.
Sadly that is not one of the options.
Speaking from a purely narative point of view, Academy has done nothing known interesting in the aproximately set time of Heroes 6, so I'd not mind seeing them last.
Leaving me with the least unlikeable option of Sylvan and Dungeon.

I want Academy only. All kinds of elves can be disposed of for all I care, especially if the are copy-pasted from other universes. Actually it will be EXTREMELY refreshing to have a fantasy game without elves once in a while.
Dungeon would be OK too I guess but, I repeat - D-u-n-g-e-o-n. Not Brothel. If it has more than one dark, grumpy, aloof, sociopathic or whatever "badass" elf there though, it might as well stay out of the game.

I guess the writers of H5 were really into BDSM so it felt natural to them to turn dungeon into ... you know...

I voted Sylvan and Dungeon, but only because I think the likely scenario (if they indeed give us a 2-in-1) is the elven scenario.
The faction I miss most, however, is Academy, I absolutely adored the arabian Academy of H5. Even if there were some half-baked choices in the line-up (they were sort of riding several horses, with both beastmen (Gremlins), Animates (Golems, Gargoyles, Colossi?) and Spirits (Djinns, Rakshasa)) I think the town window was the best ever. But perhaps one should not put too much emphasis on that anymore.
As for Sylvan, I liked their line-up, but I think with Glories in Haven, they'd have to replay Sprites with something else. Also the War Dancer concept didn't *quite* come across in the best way.
As for Dungeon, I never really cared for that faction. I didn't like the H3 mess, and while I appreciated the attempt to make it a more steamlined faction in H5, the result was ... so and so. The BDSM style was just silly, but the idea itself of a dark-elf faction in the dungeons was ok with me.

I would go with Academy and Fortress.
It is doubtful we will get 2 per expansion though, i think it is more of wishful thinking that somehow flooded out of the wishes sphere.
I never liked dungeon. Then again, I was never a fan of underground maps overall.
Reason not to have sylvan elves is that current Naga are too similar to H5 elves that it would be tough to pull something that is somewhat true to Ashan elves without being too similar to H6 Sanctuary faction.

Academy and Dungeon, provided (as was already stated) that Dungeon doesn't follow H5's example of "less clothing + more leather = COOL!"
I would vote for elves and dwarves to appear last, so that they have sufficient time to execute them properly.

I went with Sylvan and Academy but I want Dungeon too although I might not since their special magic has bit the dust?
I know you're not controlling this Elvin but HoMM 6 and we'll have to do this <blank>.

I love magic, and unlike Sanctuary and Necro these people can be really destructive and unique.

It's was a very tough choice, but I decided on Sylvan and Dungeon.
Dungeon is the one I want to see the most; I've always love the darker atmosphere and the beasts that are found there, plus with the magic to boot.
I barely chose Sylvan over Academy. I generally like Academy more, but I didn't choose it because I questioned how much it would change. I feel like if we see Sylvan again, it would differ more greatly from its H5 incarnation, and I'm curious to see how it would be executed.
I voted this way even though I almost always prefer Academy over Sylvan. I guess curiosity got the best of me. Sylvan certainly has a lot of potential though. But certainly not in its H5 form.

Dungeon and Sylvan. Like Jackson said, I really wonder what kind of changes they will bring to Sylvan, The best "Nature" faction incarnation so far IMHO is Heroes 2 Sorc closely followed by Heroes 3 Rampart although I didn't quite fond with the Dragon as the top tier.
As for Dungeon, All this Faceless as part of the line up really make me curious, not to mention I want to see what kind of Black Dragon incarnation this time around. I mean in Heroes V, they look like overgrown lizard with wing.

I wanna let them time to make a really good dungeon and not such SM trash. But with the wizards and the Elves they can't do so much wrong.

Elves/Nature faction is imho a must in HoMM game. Tradition.
Hard pick between dungeon and academy. BDSM elves = bleh. Since there's a good chance it'd be those again, I pick academy. Otherwise dungeon.
