And all about Cathedral and Kronverk... em... As far as I know it's outdated.
Well, it's a shame that the next town wouldn't be Stanford, I thought it's a good idea... and I'm afraid Forge would be a little bit unbalanced for HoMM3. It will be nice for me if it has some kind of, I don't know, special status? Like - town, its units, heroes etc. would be very rare on normal maps, player cannot have it at the very beginning in most cases...
One question, if you know: what's going on with DF2.ru again?

I'm just curious how it's going to be done.
Quote: said that cathedral and kronwerk are still in plan
...but they're not their priority, so they probably wouldn't be in next version.

Lol why? Just do not start with those stupid 'rocket vs arrow' thing coz rockets belong to 4th level where mages have their lasers. Creatures which use arrows are at low tires. And even gogs on lvl 2 have exploding projectile, pretty much like rocket.
Balance is set of digits. You can make a town full of cats and it still can be brilliantly balanced.
Cathedral and Kronwerk are making by Alexander. He is busy now. Forge needs Alex's help, but not that much like a full town from 0.

I was thinking about original Forge. AFAIK even original Forge was meant to be, like, a special town. Not available on every map "just like that". And, actually, a little bit stronger than the rest.
Wouldn't it be like strange if you can find some minotaurs with jetpacks on every standard map? It's not like I hate this idea and I don't want Forge because it does not fit in this world blablabla... but seriously - I think it shouldn't be like other towns.
But, well, do what you want. It's your project and I'll be glad if it just comes out. Especially because you have already done a great job.

Are the 5 original Forge Town music themes by Paul Romero available anywhere?

There's no forge music.
Kastore_the_warlock emailed Romero a question after We heard that that polish team has those tracks (cuz we wanted it too) but Paul said there were no forge music made.
+ I was able to get a 20-sec preview of one of the "original" tracks... and that was actually from Fallout game. -_-
So yeah, those guys lied to everybody about the music.
Good news: Music for our forge will be composed by Docent. He created Pirate Cove theme as you know.

A pity... you'd think that after GKH's "slip-up", people would refrain posting false information.
However, that Romero's 5 Forge themes don't exist doesn't mean they CAN'T exist. You should ask him to compose those themes if he finds the time - he might be willing to do it, for old times' sake.

Composing is one thing, making soundtrack - another. I think Picolan would make good and fitting theme for Forge - like Cove music, or even better...
Besides - Paul Romero is not the only one who made music for HoMM. See Rob King, of course, but also Steve Baca.

Paul Romero was the only one composing Town theme music, Robert King, Steve Baca and Chuck Russom did all the other sounds and some Music heard outside of the town with help of Paul Romero
Robert King also done a lot of voice editing

Quote: The Forge town is in HOTA now.
Well, nice, but...
1. Will it be probably in version 2.0 or are there other towns which are more likely to be there?
2. Isn't HotA Crew a little bit afraid of Forge being not accepted by a lot of players? Now we wouldn't have e.g. HotA 2.0 without Forge, because it's not a mod, but an add-on. Or maybe it would be some kind of optional?
I would like to echo this concern.
You guys have done a fantastic job in making an important part of Heroes history rise from the ashes, and I can't wait to get my hands on the Forge to play it and see what the game would have been like had it actually been included.
However, I also would like the ability to toggle whether or not it and its creatures will appear in random spawns, as I feel that sometimes I would like to play a more "pure fantasy" game with the other pure fantasy towns included in HotA.
Please don't mistake this for criticism of your work at all; again, I am absolutely floored by what the team has accomplished here and can't wait to play it. I just think some kind of toggle might be nice given the rather unique and polarizing nature of the Forge; it will enable people who were opposed to the idea of the Forge to still enjoy the other excellent content in HotA. A win-win, I think.
Again, thank you very much for all the hard work, and I look forward to the finished product!

As I presume from it's title ("bez nazvaniya" ) it is not 7 level unit's art, but just some rejected concept?

It's not lvl 7 and it's not rejected. Still it's not like the final concept.

It's definitely not a Hydra, Hydras are known for having multiple heads

I wonder how you got this concept since it was published only on closed subforum.
And things may look totally different in release
