Minimum requirements for Heroes 6 is a Core 2 Duo with 2.2Ghz and a graphics card with 512MB RAM.
I have a Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz and 1GB RAM graphics card and in the demo, things take a while to load up in the beginning so when I load a game I wait for 1 minute before I play it and then it's fine....
Check your system info on your laptop to see your graphics card...

ok, some demo impressions/ rant/ questions
1. why does only 1 hero has reputation? you can not switch between main
and secondary heroes if you wish
2. Necromancy is now just raise dead spell? why?! the whole fun and
point of necromancy was to start with a small army and being able to
raise a larger army by fighting stuff. now it's just like a dark
heaven faction.
3. Speaking of heaven, I actually enjoy playing with them (which
probably means they are somewhat overpowered, being able to play
without losses.
4. The vestals are bit too powerful with their pacify ability,
basically 1 vestal can take on any single stack by her self.
5. Angels being able to resurrect is much less important now since the
sisters can do just the same and 2 times per battle (afterwards when
playing with sanctuary I was actually disappointed to see the pearl/
coral medussas heal was weaker)
6. I don't like the new rage because it is not relevant to the
creature action individually and because the effect is the same for
all. Heroes 5 rage was much much more interesting.
7. And now stronghold creatures can defend and wait? I kind of liked #
the heroes 5 "can't sit still hyperactive" stronghold.
8. Still not sure about the RPG element of picking your hero skills.
It's nice to play around with the skill every time but I only
played for 2 weeks and I fear that after becoming more
familiar with the game there will be a standard set of skills to
take for each hero type.
9. The game is tini-tiny. It is hard to differentiate between units
sometime. what's the point of all the details on units if they all
look like a random red dude (just an example)in the end?
10. When I build something in the city I want to see the building and
not the face of the creature it will spawn.
11. Show us prices for upgrading a unit. This should not be a lottery.
12. Maybe show what improvements upgrade unit will have over basic
before upgrading. Sure, after getting to know the game better it
will not be such a problem anymore but why wait 3 weeks before I
know what I'm doing and what action will benefit me more.
11. How can I rotate the camera on the adventure map and in battle?
12. How do I make harpys strike without returning? How do I force
shooters to attack in melee?
13. I won't mention all that has been mention numerous times before
but most of it bothers me as well.
Well, that's it i suppose

Hey Odish.
1. That is up to the mapmaker but only your main hero can gain reputation by default.
2. That kinda sucks though it is better from a balance perspective.
4. Pacification is hp based, won't work on a stack of any strength.
5. Angels can resurrect twice too, the upgrade that is. And maidens aren't that bad since their regeneration lasts 3 turns, total healed hp is pretty good even if not an instant effect.
7. I miss that too, it was awesome
8. Well there's two classes with two paths each per faction so the gameplay diversity should be alright.. But even with the same class I believe it can turn out well enough after they do a little more balancing.
10. Hopefully when the patch with town screen revision comes
11. To be fixed if it hasn't already.
12. Actually you can see the upgrade's stats and abilities if you have the basic dwelling! I was pleasantly surprised to see H6 had that feature.
11. I forget, either page up/down or ctrl + keys.
12. Was not possible in demo.

According to my systems information my CPU speed is "2.3 GHz", but I don't know about the graphics card. Still don't know how to check that. It took my me a few day just to figure out my CPU speed.
I really do not know what I am doing.

@Raelag84: googled for the specs of the laptop model you mentioned and it says:
Video Graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics
Video Memory 128MB Display Cache Memory
Heroes VI needs at least 512 MB of video memory to run. (1 Gb recommended)
But you better check the GPU model yourself, maybe I got the wrong laptop or something.
Go to Start and type in Dxdiag. Open it and go to the Display tab. In the Device section you should see your graphics card model. You can also check your DirectX version you have, driver date and possible problems / conflicts.

I finally did that. It runs, but it runs slow and is other wise glichy. However I do intend to milk it for all its worth. It's troublesome but I can play it.

Not really, because pacification is dispelled once the stack receives damage...

well, actually Elvin already said it's hp dependent
but, given a large enough stack (and in my game they were always successful in pacifying whatever was in front of them), the pacified stack will be pacified again with the next attack by the vestal. so a stack can be slowly decimated if the vestal is the only one attacking it
