Excuse me?! "Too little"!? What are you talking about? Don't question yourself like that what you posted made more sense than what most of the others said in here.
Pardon me for defeding you.
Haaha this discussion is amusing... oh and btw I find it annoying or well confusing that some women find being curteous towards them insulting. As if I would look down on them for holding a door open or paying for something. I realize of course that it is not always appropriate (well the paying thing atleast) but still sometimes I'm just being nice and I'd do the same thing regardless of the gender of the person I'm interacting with and they see it as me "being stuck in an outdated sex-model" wtf Ò_ó? Obviously you can adjust espcially if you're dating one of those super independant career women but still... being what I consider a "gentlemen" is part of who I am I have no problem with toneing it down but interpreting everything as a man understanding himself as the "white knight" or "protector" can get a bit frustrating.

I like a Gentleman to hold the door open for me and to let me enter first. If I didn't Acu and I would have been arguing all the time lol.
I guess everyone is different but to me thats just having manners.

I build myself on necessity, I don't cage myself with 'laws', I identify a situation and I aim to act appropriately, my level of success or failure defines me .
While I may hate generalization, it's necessity is arguable (hating all types of generalization is in-fact a generalization in itself, ergo it would be severely incorrect of me to hate all types of generalization )
But really Dag do this over HCM I'd hate to ruin such a lovely thread with my ideals.

No, HCM is a terrible means of communication and I love making a dastardly farm animal out of myself by arguing this way.

In the old days guys would have had a duel to settle an arguement over a woman and protect her honour .

lol. That sounds so corny. Haahaha I'm an ***hole I know sorry no offence but seriously? Next you're going to tell us you simply walk into Mordor? It's not that easy... Dagoth, Joonas, Keksi and me tried it.

Also, it sort of implies you have no morals or rules, but rather act by instinct.
Besides, man needs to limit himself in order to bring out his potential, that's what the bird of Hermes and the Icarus-myth is about.

You do realize that it takes a particularly hefty effort to offend me, ergo occurrence via accident is highly unlikely as for the internet it's an almost no go
As for you Dagoth: it's simply how I aim to 'build' myself i'm still subjected to emotions, but I aim to understand my surroundings and act according to them first before I let myself attempt to influence anyone in that present company. I do my best, but I'm nowhere near perfect, it is, but an objective I try to keep an open mind, so in no way should you consider me 'narrow minded' .

A certain someone is not on this thread, so it is still on topic & not destroyed
All people are different.
There are ladies & gentlemen.
Good people.
Then you got the *****es & *******s.
They are all over & i seen everyone of them.
No matter how nice you are, you can never please everyone.
It goes both ways.
Aculias - you've been here long enough to know the rules about swearing. Please try to keep it clean.

Shouldn't you just be your honest self?
If you can't make it right for someone, why would you go out of your way to try? If you are nice, but it's never right, trying to be extra nice doesn't seem to promise anything in terms of "success", right?

The real secret to women is that there isn't one. They're people just like everybody else, except when they conform to social expectations, they conform to different ones than males do. I would follow that up by saying, "One girl is as different from another, just like one guy is different from another", and I mean that literally. If you think about it, social conformity is common (otherwise, it wouldn't be conformity), so the difference between one average person and another isn't that great. The good news gram is that you can usually identify whether someone is that kind of conformist from half an hour of conversation (sometimes less), and then proceed to act based on that knowledge and your own preferences.

The funny part is that you typed it with capital letter, Gentleman is the name of my Inferno Might hero in the Heroes VI beta. He's at your service by the way.

Well, the universe has no secrets as well, we just don't know how to read the available information. Pretty much the same about women if you ask me.

If someone is not interested, man or woman, you can be super duper extra nice and it will do nothing at all.
But once someone has taken interest in you, you'll find that it's no longer a game of "do X, Y, Z to pick her up".
I'm against that ridiculous "picking up" trend. It works MUCH better for girls and guys alike if they simply grow to know each other and then decide upon a relationship over time assuming they both want it.
Most of the time the girls (and guys) enjoy being adored but if they aren't really interested in you, they will treat you with distance and you'll come to a bad conclusion that they are this or that. They ain't. They just don't care for you.

Then stop defending the abusers!
By the point you posted there was already a general consus on "there are abusers on both sides".

So much this.
And you need even less time if you are a bit autistic.
