For those who have trouble beating Sharka he is a tip. Bigger army or not, your goblins with unicorn horn(+2dmg and no range penalty) bow can kill ridiculous amounts of troops each time. Surround them and focus on the shooters, then the melee forces that will come to you.
A clarification for mission 3 since it confused me and had me reload a previous save. After you gather the seven, don't look for the enemies, they will come to you. You will face few to several enemy heroes before the final battle starts and iirc only 1 of them appear per week. Don't worry about the game being bugged at this point, it is intentional.
Also the dragon eel is just below the necro town, head south and it will appear.

A semi bug related question.
For those that passed map 2, were any of you tears path before meeting sharka first time? Or were you neutral/blood.
If yes then i guess the bug is random. Though it seems quite frequent. If no, I will just eat it up and replay the map 1 to not have tears upgrade.

I was a chieftain yes. Though I only made the switch on the start of mission 2, a few turns before I met Sharka.

any tips on defeating dragon eel?
I mean it's killable for me, but it cost me about 95% of my army, so there is no way I could kill the dragon and fend off those sanctuary attacks.
How am i supposed to do that?

Was easy for me but then again I had plenty of army. The trick is not to lose much army vs sanctuary, that or give it the cup to prevent fighting it. I think it's the same xp and you still get the tear of Asha.
The trick for me was upgrade the jaguar warriors and if the AI made the mistake of hurting my units with mass heal(lol..) I would cast reinforcements which would turn my 30-40 panther warriors to 70+. You can guess what 70+ of those beasts can do with +2 speed and a triple attack on kirin, mizu kami and kensei.

Stronghold first mission
So I'm having trouble with the first mission of stronghold. I am able to capture my first town with ease, but afterwards, it becomes more and more difficult to defend my town from haven heroes and capture the other haven towns. Also, the fight against earth elementals to obtain the harpies and centaurs is near impossible without sustaining heavy losses.
Any tips??

Elementals aren't that hard, just maulers with life drain in week.. 3 I think? After you build centaurs things will become easier. You probably already have the goblins, they are near the sawmill near your starting town. To the south there is a ruined town with dreamwalkers and southeast of the town some goblins guarded by griffins. If you liberate them, a gate will open and you can get that crystal mine fast which should make things even easier.
But whether tears or blood you really should get life drain, it is the best way for orcs to avoid casualties. Reinforcements is also great for those times you lack mana.

Ahha! Life drain. That is the key. Thanks Elvin. Stronghold is fun, but they lack magic (at least the might heroes)..and my skill choices were not helping much.

Yeah it was just above the inferno treasure site. You know, beyond the gate that opens when you liberate the 4 stacks.

So, as to the bug with the message that comes up after you watch the Sharka cinematic, has anyone found a workaround that allows them to continue?

Ah great advice, I will try getting life drain haha. Yes indeed, it is difficult to not sustain losses with orcs, I was focusing on a might driven hero and had not invested in any magic, hopefully my mana pool/regeneration will be enough.
Also how exactly does reinforcements work in this game? So say, I use it at the beginning of combat on a stack of maulers, and it adds 7 maulers, if I lose 7 maulers by the end of combat, will that affect my actual army stack at all?
Thanks for the advice elvin!

Campaign 4 map boss
Okay, wtf... I've been trying to satisfy the achievement associated with this boss... and it NEVER devours!!! What am I supposed to do? Do you encounter this boss in another campaign? So annoying really trying to get this achievement, and it never does what you want it to.
EDIT:
Nevermind, I figured it out. For those having trouble satisfying the achievement, here are some tips:
1) make sure that your small sized units are not surrounded by obstacles. They need to be situated smack dab in the middle of a 3X3 grid, so that the boss can devour them.
2) DO NOT bring the boss' hp down below 26,500 (35%)... after it unleashes its enraged form, it doesn't seem to activate devour any longer. I could be wrong, but I did spend like 20 turns waiting for it to devour until I figured I should just restart the fight.
3) Once you bring down the enemy HP to about 30,000 HP... make sure all your units activate the "WAIT" command. Dreamweavers MUST activate Father Sky ability at all times to give your units initiative boost by the next turn.
4) If the boss does not devour any of your small units, have them DEFEND and try waiting again next turn. Once it does devour one unit, unleash EVERYTHING you have against it. Use Bloodrage IV to make sure you move before it does. Kill it without letting it have a turn. Activating the Warcry that allows maximum damage on the Cyclops helps as well.

Hi, I am kind of lost in the first mission of the Stronghold campaign. I have found the Orc Shamans for my army and they say they know the way to find Irina, but there isn't anywhere else I can go on the map now and there are still 2 closed gates with the Haven area of control behind them. What do I need to do now?

Did you free all the Stronghold units ?

Yes I'm pretty sure I did. There are no more stronghold units straying around on my map, but there are some random haven units guarding mines that I did not claim as I think I won't be needing that many. But does that even matter?
Edit: Ok forget what I said, I found the last little goblin hidden in the southern controlled areas... just that little speck of unexplored land lol.

One of the underground leads there. And no, there's no summon boat
Got a problem on map 4 : Getting bored now. I have 800 crystals (so way more than the 500 required for the main quest) and I've eliminated all the demons, but it seems the map doesn't want to end
Do I *really* have to wait for all crystal veins to disappear ?

Hello...
No summon boat spell. To get to the harpy veteran, you have to go through one of the underground tunnels. There are three underground entrances.
a) north west ish of the Kunyak Hill town, near the Jaguar veteran. This DOES NOT lead to any veterans.
b) directly north (a bit NE I guess), a short distance from Kunyak town- this leads to the Dreamweaver veteran.
c) NORTH EAST of the Kunyak Hill town, where you will trigger a cutscene and quest with Elisabeth. Follow the path all the way through (there are no forks), and you will be lead to Elisabeth's area. Southwest of Haffayad's/Elisabeth's location is where the harpy nest is located.

This is a bug... someone explained it properly in the conflux found near the town.
If you're going to use the marketplace, make sure you trade in values of 95-99... for example, first, trade up to, say 95 crystals (meaning you must have 95 crystals in your resource pool by the time you finish trading). If your daily income is 5 crystals per day, just let that run its course. The game will not recognize you making progress, UNLESS you actually earn crystals "the old fashioned way", aka via through your mines, not through marketplace trade.
So once you trigger the first cutscene after earning 100 crystals, do the same process over when aiming for 200 crystals (trade 195 crystals). Wait a few turns and another cutscene will trigger (or it might be immediate). Do the same thing again for 300, then 400, then 500 crystals. am I making sense?
