Aside from owning all the areas and completing the side quests, you should also convert everything including forts. I also waited very long, then I converted forts just because I had many golds, and 2 turns later he came.

Yes you should update, it won't affect your savegames...
However, this won't affect the mechanics of mission 3. You need to have all areas of control owned by you and converted and you need to be defending your main town. The naga hero should come.

I completed the campaign yesterday. Was the last boss supposed to be challenge? I think I lost something like 12 Jaguar Warriors and 14 Centaurs. It was laughable.

Boss doesn't scale with time. So if you spent a long time prior to the boss, then your army will become really huge such that the boss is very easy to kill. Of course, some maps are made in such a way that if you want to finish everything completely, the boss would be a pushover when you face it. But that's how this game works.
*semi spoilers*
When I was playing the final campaign with the tears path, I rushed it and got killed by Michael easily. Then I spent a few weeks/month building up my army and taking over cities and he became an 'okay' opponent. Wasn't hard but wasn't as easy as 12 Jag + 14 Cent.

Amulet of Jaguar
hmmm, could somebody tell me where can I find the Amulet of Jaguar?
I already in the beginning of Map 4 and have 5/6 of the artifact set, except that damend Amulet of Jaguar.

Shadowsteel Armor
hmmm, now I am in trouble again.
I already restart the campaign and finished map 3, but the problem is I dont have my Shadowsteel Armor with me.
While I remember in the last saved games before I restart the campaign, I have it (but dont have Amulet of Jaguar).
Could somebody please tell me where can I get this Shadowsteel Armor?
I already checked the mission log, but cant still find quest with Shadowsteel reward in it.

I finished the campaign yesterday with a might-blood heroe. While I started the inferno campaign this morning I'll want to try to play the Stronghold campaign as a magic heroe.
Since the shaman does not get mediataion it would seem he'll be short on manna when played like I would normally play a magic heroe. I'm guessing the shaman has to mix is more might skills like warlord's command, pressed attack, and flawless assault to help alleviate manna issues and concentrate on crowd control abilities and a couple of buff spells otherwise.
Anyone have any tips for playing a shaman through the campaign on hard difficulty?
