Unfortunately I can not use your patch cause I already patched same file you used (data8) with some of my custom settings.. so if its not too much trouble for u, please tell me what do I need to change in data8.orc for dynasty (main hand) weapons to work? I know how to edit files so no technical guide is needed, just info what to change so they can appear as normal artifacts

Well after a few hours of research i manage to reproduce the work of BIGJOCKER, leaving weapons as standard Items and they are transferred from one stage to the next in the campaign, in addition leave open the possibility of be traded between heroes. I dont tested the availability in map editor.
Credit: Many thanks to BIGJOCKER for his mod, this is only a update of his work.
Note: this mod is only for version 1.5.2 of the game and may be not work in future versions of the game.
For those interested, i wrote a txt explaining how to make this changes.

Thanks a lot to BIGJOKER and you for ur efforts. I appriciate n follow. However I put data15 file into installation folder but it didn t work. Dynasty weapon becomes a similar artifact item but it totally loses all its properties. A description appears under the item about the whole story of how it became a precious artifact and that s all. It doesnt work at all. OR did I miss sthg?

The weapons give all the bonuses at once (full level),dont worry about the description (more info below), perhaps you didn't notice that because they give the bonus equipped or not (if you are sure the weapon dont give any bonus try to unequip and equip once), trade the weapon to see changes in your hero stats, i successfully tested with the Sword of the Wolf, Soulreaver Staff and Staff of Sandro.
About the description (tooltip), a normal item have the bonuses in that field, the weapon have the full story, with a bit of work i can fix that.
To remove the bonuses if the weapon is unequiped need more research, if i can accomplish that and if requested i can post a new update.

Thanks a lot then, I suppose I couldn t realize the difference.Actually the game crushed since I put data file and loaded a saved game where I already had soulreaver staff. (Besides some bugs occured such as I couldn t hire a hero. Then restarting game resolved all.) However when I loaded a former one where I hadn t have soulreaver staff, no problem occured.
This may be a little contribution if it is confirmed by others that u shouldn t have any dynasty weapon in ur inventory when u apply ur work into game.

Good news, I achieved to improve the mod:
1) The weapons now give their bonus only if equipped.
2) The description shows their attributes rather than their long history.
3) The weapons can be used in the game editor.

Yes. you are right.
Due the nature of the old version of the mod, the abilities of the weapons maybe duplicated if you upgrade the mod and use a save game of the previous version, besides that there is no other compatibility issue, and of course starting a fresh campaing has none of these problems.
Any feedback is welcome.

Yes, copy the file (unrar first) to the directory of the game.

Mahnthor, great to hear these news. I ve been already playing with your WONDERFUL work and in the next campaign Im gonna play with your improved mod. (Actually with the old one u have both specialites of dynasty weapons in the spellbook, I will have to persuade myself to use the fair n improved mod. )

Firstly, you shouldn t have any dynasty weapon in your inventory and secondly in the game you should forget the dynasty bonuses button. If u press it then the game crushes according to my experience...

Oh! Sorry i didn't clarify. It crashed when I tried to open the game, not during.
PS: I reinstalled the game just to delete all the campaign saves. Found how to do that separately now

Well since 1.7.1 this patch doesn't quite work for me anymore. I get a crashe regardless of how I try to integrate it. Any news on an update for this? Or just a solution?

Updating it, would mean making it all over again.I see no point until the last official patch will come out. after that I will continue my project (Quicksilver), which will include this mod and many more. Ofcourse someone can update this if he has a lot of free time and it's OK for him to do the same thing again and again.

Ah ok, seems reasonable. Only wish I found out about this patch before 1.7.1 came out .

Hello
I head that there are in the campain Skill which the heroes can get who only will be activated when im Online.
In this patch is it so, that i can play offlin like normaly online or only the dynasty weapons offline?

Well since 1.8 was confirmed to be the final version, I take it you're going to update the mod now right? Any ETA on release?
