I'm not seeing this game on any Canadian pages. 
Also, does it come in a physical copy at all, or is it just a download release like what I'm finding?

IDK about Canada, but there are hard copies in the EU.
And you can't see the game due to the fact that Ubi hold it until they fix the patch problem
If they would publish the patch o the 3th they would have 2 days to work everything out, but nooo. lets keep it to the last minute

I bought the expansion on steam. Today I noticed that there's the base Heroes 6 game in my library (which I didn't buy) and the expansion. Clicking Install for the expansion didn't do anything. I'm installing the base game. I wonder if it will work through the base game or if it's a free gift.
Today steam if offering 60% off on Heroes 6 and on its adventure packs. Heroes 6 complete is now there (on Heroes 6 steam store page) and costs a meaty $60.

Well on the official forums there is a link for direct download: static2.cdn.ubi.com/patches/HOMM6/hmm6_digital_2.1_efigs.exe (digital)
static2.cdn.ubi.com/patches/HOMM6/hmm6_2.1_efigs.exe (normal)
Question is why in the name of all dragon gods isnt patcher "patching"?

so i have SoD working.
I played vs Dungeon on hot seats and they aren't that hot as i thought. Yes, the dmg output is enormous but all units are rather weak on HP and def.
Angels resurrection bug has been fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes sound is ok.
But i cannot play H6 vanilla maps b/c i have to unlock them to buy H6 that i already own .
I tried writing my H6 key but it responded that the key has already been activated.. duh.....

Just tried my CZ version
Facts:
sound works, what I have tried
If you buy the Black Dragon pet, you can use it whitout buying the addon.
After the patch, you can't play normal custom maps, a Key is required venthough I don't have the expension and just patched my orignal game
You CAN make a custom Dungeon HERO in yor dynasty.. Now Ill trie to play them.
Edit
You can create the hero but you cant use him,
But you can summon a BD with the pet.

stone skin works (but is still waaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy too weak comparing to ice armor/weakness)
i think glories can still blind anything.
there were some major changes to balance in duel (no of creatures). I don't like them. 72 kensei!!! o.O! shaman are still pretty weak imho

Good news everyone!
After several hours my (Czech version) game is running smooth with all music, sounds and voiceovers.
I firstly added code in the old 1.8 version, then downloaded the multi-language digital patch 2.1 and installed it.
Played few minutes of campaign and so far no errors (freezes, glitches, crashes).
My only problem is: where are those promised weapons + heroes for those who preordered the digital version? Cant find them in game/dynasty tab and the only code I recieved from Ubi was for SoD activation. So if anyone has them or found them somewhere, just let me know

On a serious note, its 11 o'clock in the morning here in Sydney and I am still at work. Cant wait to get home and play(or try to play) the SoD
However I had some issue lately with Visual C++ libraries, I uninstalled them and Heroes 6 slowed down considerably. Still cant figure out how to fix a problem(tried re-installing everything)
