Minotaurs lucky strike is fun too. Bone dragon does look impressive, they done great job on that recolour. But. I just hope that it is a third neutral or something. Altgough no files on a second neutral were found in expansion, all of this implied a recolour.

Nailed it. I knew there will be a recolor/re-texture. My second guess was Hydra, but sadly, that's how Ubi rolls, baby! (Although I find adding the Black Panther a nice and quite original move on their behalf)

I mean bonus damage is nice, but sending them close to the enemy may change them into an easy target instead of an element of surprise (also, I think AI will overuse this).

And here I was, thinking that another 2 months of game production will give us something more to chew on (an original Bone Dragon perhaps?). How naive I was...

As much as I agree that the high-pitched shrieks heard in the video are bad, I have a distinct feeling/hope that this is cause by the fact that the unit-animations are sped up. And this used to affect the sounds units made, but I am not certain if this is still the case in the current build as I, as a rule, turn the animations to it's slowest.

Why no resource banks? I remember some buildings on the adventure map that gave me resources after defeating certain creatures...

There are aprox 5+ of them, but they all look so plain you just cant tremember them, and the fact that there is not "Common cash" does not help iether

ye one time they give 8 k gold the other - a relic omg...
super balanced!

On my map they are fixed - one for wood, one for ore ..etc and in the latest version there are three difficulties in each of the banks Can`t wait to start a new game to test them

Elvin said they (VIPs) made very clear to Ubisoft the importance of adventure map locations, I really hope they made clear the need of varied creature banks....and balanced, of course.

I think they have a lot of potential and add a fresh breath to the gameplay.

Yeah, bashing a few imps for a quick buck was a nice change when resource hunting

I wonder if Heroes 3-like cache battles would fit into Heroes 6. You know, battles in which your army was in the center and enemy units attacked you from five sides. That would be interesting, especially with some Heroes 6 mechanics...

blob2 you can put whatever army and get whatever reward..problem is mapmakers do it.
I was thinking about that idea too (h3) but I bet you can`t do it even with modding.

So, the structures don't generate creatures randomly? And I thought it was a bug... Oh you lazy devs!

BTW, there is a big problem with scaling the enemy armies overall in this game. For instance: the Arena. Does it generate the enemy army based on your hero level or army size? It would be a bigger challenge if it was based on your army size, and made the enemy army like 3 or 4 times bigger then yours. You don't loose troops in those "mock" battles, so putting bigger armies to fight you would be more fun...

And no, I don't suppose you can do it, different troop placement on the battlefield that is, as it's a game mechanic. On the other hand, boss battles put some of them into the center of the battlefield, so at least here we have some twists...

In Heroes V, creature banks were so easy to mod and incorporate to custon maps....you could create a lot of entries (dunno if there was a real limit), each one with their own chance & guards & rewards.

Heck, I remenber having fun with the NCF mod, getting the double elementals upgrades mod and then creating harder creature banks with the upgrades heheh

PS: H6 creature banks don't have different guards depending on chance like older Heroes?

I didn't know about h5 banks maybe because I was only a player then.
Developers' banks were good too. I suicided more than enough in a full treant thicket or blood temple. I hope dragons can reach last square, have good init and have double square attack so that utopia is challenging.
Arena is another good idea which is not complete. I put it end of week 1 beginning of week 2 and if u don't have army from new week or out of mana it is very interesting. If I put it somewhere else (timeline wise) it would be easier...
