New bug nr 1: Gauge doesn't fill when retaliation would occur, but the stack that would be retaliating dies before it can do so.

Quote: So anything worth mentioning (new neutrals, spell, something we didn't know)?
Stalker's attacks slower enemies (-1).
Beholder's attacks cause some kind of poisoning.
Minotaurs can potentially inflict increased damage (doubled?) and they retaliate before being attacked.
Black Dragons have the "Taunting Presence" ability. Or something similar to it.
That's what I got from the video.

Yes, the gauge is filled when any Dungeon unit affected by the "Shroud of Malassa" attacks.

Mino's personal Counterstrike 3 triggers if a Mino attacked during its turn, it also benefits from +6 morale,
Racial halves damage received, gives+1 speed and increased dmg when striking while Invisible
Hero strike appears to be poisonous, and said poison deals Dark dmg

Most of those things were mentioned/suggested already. Seriously, no new adventure map objects, artifacts or neutrals? The movie is a waste of time then...

That's a nasty new feature
Taking into account that Shades of Darkness is a stand-alone expansion, would it be safe to expect a lot of maps in addition to the Dungeon campaign? Is there any info available on whether it will contain any of the vanilla maps (redone with the new features) + new maps or only new ones?

@Avonu: That's probably due to the added load of the recording software, I get that a lot too, but only when recording.

The minotaur looks great in battle. It looks really tough and powerful, it's very well done. I hope they'll release a SoD units animation video just like those depicting the vanilla units. Are the animations still done by Puppet works?

I'm from Poland so I can translate some juicy parts from the article for you (for people who don't want to watch the Russian video).
1. (this was said already) the Hero is Kastore, known from previous franchise entries. The magic schools for Dungeon are: fire, earth, water, darkness and prime. I know there was a long dispute about it on this forum, and don't know if it ended with results, so here you are
2. One of Dungeon special buildings is Shadowveil Loom: it hides the number of tier I units on AM and Battlefield in the towns control zone.
3. New artifact "Widnsword's Brooch" - part of a set (called Iron Winds set or sth like that, it gives bonus movement and additional gold per day from what I see on one of the screenshots), it gives +1 Leadership and the Economy I ability.
The rest is about unit abilities which were mentioned already...
Oh and the Veil of Malassa racial gives: 2 turns of invisibility (or till the unit attacks), 10% more dmg, no retaliation, 50% damage resistance and +1 morale. The gauge is filled with attacks that don't give retaliation (like ranged), but we already know that . The author of the article didn't say anything more...

Amazing how Disciples: Reincarnation can have far greater and more complex graphics than H6, yet I haven't experienced a single slowdown. H6 on the other hand, I'm lucky if I can get the mouse to move because the game can't handle the resources.

My impulsive initial thought was that this was a crappy ability, but the more I think about it, the better I consider it to be. When facing Dungeon with this building up, you simply don't know how much of your attack power you can dedicate to what enemy stack. It could be just 1, it could be a legion. This is especially annoying when the enemy has multiple stacks of the same core unit, because you then have to get lucky to hit the biggest one instead of the solo unit .

According to the video :
Windsword's Brooch : + 1 Leadership / grants Economist 1
Part of the Windswords' Set (along with Ga'arend's Boots, Kieran's Armor, Myranda's Helmet, Sayuri's Journal and Vein's Shoulders)
2 artifacts bonus :+ 1 map movement / + 250 gold/day
4 artifacts bonus : +3 Magic Power / the Daze effect duration caused by Air magic is increased by 1 turn
6 artifacts bonus : +5 Creatures Initiative / Casts Storm Arrows on every ally unit and Storm Winds on every enemy unit at the start of each battle.

Now that's a nice feature A pity it's usually hard to complete any artifact set when playing on a map with randomized artifacts...
The Economist I ability from the Brooch is also a nice bonus, especially for the main hero (it's usually a waste to put an ability point into the Realm tree for main heroes).

Not really. Your main hero will in no way need snatch (ever), and a few movement spent on gaining rather useful artifacts will do more good than walking one or two extra steps on the overworld map. You likely aren't going to run into their main hero while they are in a town, after all. If you take a little longer getting to the center of a map (Maybe half a turn?), but have an extra skill and the same quality of artifacts, then you come out on top.

Depends on map and how often you deviate from route to take loot. But believe me every tile counts. Imagine you reach center and see opponent running away and you can`t reach him because of one tile. Next turn he chains army and kills you.
Happened to me once! Every tile is important!
