You should make a serious character trying to be a comic relief character.

What do we know about Akhari? Any special traits or proficiencies, favorite weapons, etc.? Or should I understand they are Jack-of-all-trades like the humans?

well, they're mainly warriors, some consider they're aggressive, but considering that the race hasn't been contacted much, the imoperials seem to think that they're nothing but bloodthirsty motherbeepers who attack ships for no appearant reason.
in truth however, they are deeply spiritual. their faith is similiar to zen budhism. they are indeed fierce warriors and a formidable force on the battlefield, but off the battle they're entirely different people. a highly cultural society. they excell practically everywhere, but warfare is their strongpoint.

Name: Jak Copool aka. "Aggressor"
Race: Akhari
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Appearance:
Short (About 1.60) and wide with yellow toad-like skin. Has green eyes, although some say that if you look deep enough you can a see a little red flame right in the middle.
Personality: Cynical to the extreme. Has a wicked sense of humor. Literally wicked. Easily provoked to violence and difficult to stop.
Background: Jak was born into a well-off, family of intellectuals who gave him high-class education in many aspects. Among the Akhari that means he studying the art of war as well and he did so under the best teachers the race had to offer. His mind, however, never worked anything like a proper Akhari mind should. If anything it resembled more the twisted picture the Empire tried to present to its citizen. Violent and aggressive, Jak Copool never fit in. So after receiving all the education he thought he needed he broke off from his family to find his own way. He soon realized that he wouldn't find it in the Akhari system. The Akhari offensive power was not strong enough to fight the Empire and its main defense were the asteroid fields, so most of their military force concentrated on internal affairs ensuring complete order in the system. Unsatisifed and unwilling to give up, Jak Copool, dubbed the "Aggressor" by his own people, took on a special assignment from the government. To sneak out of the system and become an Akhari liaison in the Rebel camp. Whether he was the only one or one of a wide and complicated net, Jak did not know. Nor did he care. The only reason he listened to his employers was because it made killing much easier and kept the money flowing. So he marked the destruction of the Empire as his target. That did not mean however that he cared for the Rebels. As far as Jak Copool is concerned, destroying the Empire could be setting the whole universe ablaze, with everyone in it.
Skills/Powers/weapons/other assets:
- All around high education.
- Proficiency with all manner of weaponry, but prefers the heavy kind. As such uses heavy armor, high caliber machine-guns and explosives. And does have an even bigger arsenal on his ship.
- Expert pilot. Flies a starship. He knows that he can't rely on power and armor in a one-manned ship and opts for power and maneuverability.

Also Kip, I find that not only alcohol quantity influences hangovers, but quality is just as much a factor.

My dearest dutch friend, you insult me by implying that I drink cheap, bad quality alcohol. I favor the best alcohol avaivable in my country that I can afford.
