8GB of patch, so is the gold version, the disc of box version is useless.
8 GB for optimal settings, xD. If this game had the graphics of Serious Sam 3: BFE or Battlefield 4, I would understand, but the graphics, are..., xD. Also need for these optimal settings 2GB of graphic card and fast graphic card chip.
Also you need a 64 bit operative system for play with all content, because 32 bits can't handle 4GB and this game need more o.o
And more problems, the game is out 23 of January, but many box will ship
to players on late of friday, so only they can access to act 1 till get the box and redeem the code for entire version.
So I will read the future: 23 day, many people donwload from UPLAY (xD) 8GB, result, the servers will down.
Quote:Hello Leffiafan,
We are currently working on the Mac version of the game. We can’t provide you any estimated time of arrival for this portage but our team is starting optimization process on this platform. We will keep you updated as soon as we have news about this topic. Sorry for the inconvenience - technical article will be updated with this info.
Also, apparently in the manual folder, there are a lot of sub folders for each language, but all the manuals are in English. An update with all manuals with their corresponding language is expected at 6p.m.
16:10 resolutions are not supported.
Finally, there's a Bugs report thread in the official forums, you may want to keep track of it.

Not quite sure about that yet. Just put a couple of hours into the game and have to say that it has improved quite a bit from the early access version. All just seems much more fluid and fast.
Did anyone else notice that they heavily cut down the detail of textures compared to the beta build? Maybe it's what they call optimization, but man it looks outdated at some places
Quote:What gives Legacy its old school charm though is that as much as it's weighed down by an obviously low budget and the mechanical sacrifices of jumping back a decade, there's a love for its style underpinning the action. The result isn't likely to do much for anyone raised on a diet of The Elder Scrolls, and even at its best is a nostalgia trip rather than call for revolution. Even so, for old-school RPG fans as sad as its creators seem to be that nobody makes games like this any more, it’s a solid way to relive the good old days.
Quote:These caveats are not minor ones, and it's important that people don't rush into buying the game from blind nostalgia without some idea of its not inconsiderable technical deficiencies. However, I still enjoyed my time with the game, no matter how gleefully it tried to stop me doing so. This is a genre that, Legends of Grimrock aside, you just don't see nowadays, and it's undeniably good to see it making something of a comeback. Exploring ogre caves, elemental temples and naga towers with my intrepid band of badly optimised warriors still somehow managed to be fun, despite the chugging performance and irritation of grid-based overland movement. If you can look past these blemishes there's plenty of fun to be had with Might and Magic X, but it could have done with a lot more polish.

Could you post some images to show that?

Quote:Cool Wow!! What the...
Ubisoft you cheeky devils Why did you keep all these changes from your loyal EA players!
Just played 2.5 hours and the game is a blast to play!! It feels light years ahead of the Early Access build, it plays so fast and dynamic! There are lots of changes from EA, from additional abilities to promotion classes and warfare tree, to fully rebalanced spell trees(water and light are powerful now), to new potions and loot, to new objects on the map, to new quest logs, to new graphics, to selection of ranged targets(at closer distances), to etc etc.
What a great game it truly is. I'm at Mamushi boss at the moment and can't way to move one to other acts! Seriously I did not expect this game to be this good, you have done some tremendous amount of work since EA release..
Thank you for fixing movement/animations speeds as well, it is much better now.
Well, my first party(doing good so far on Warrior) -
Crusader, Hunter, Druid, Freemage.
Thank you for this game, I hope there will be more content to come and it sells well.
That sums up my current thoughts and feelings
In regards to textures:
1. Is your OS 64 bit?
2. In the main menu, go to the graphics menu and move texture slider all the way to Ultra. Make sure to do that in Main Menu, not in the game.
Got my nice box today - was a bit worried since the weekend is coming and I my game was limited to act 1. Goodies inside are very nice indeed. I even got a code for Asalah + 2 pack for DoC ok back to M&M with a bottle of cider!

My bad! I didn't notice that the options differ from the in-game options. There was no texture quality slider in-game, what an odd decision. Thanks Hermes for the info.

Yeah we had quite a few bug reports about texture being corrupted, and we eventually realized it was because the users were changing the texture quality in-game. So we played it safe and put that option only in the main menu.
But it was a last minute thing, we should probably have left the option but greying it out with a tooltip saying it can only be changed in the main menu or something similar.
Quote:Might & Magic 10: Legacy feels like a pleasant throwback to dungeon crawls of decades past, but its limited scope and combat-heavy focus might put off those pining for the freedom afforded by the more recent Elder Scrolls games, or the wordy character interaction of a Dragon Age. Nonetheless, for those keen on poring over stats and comparing colour-coded loot, it serves as a modern introduction to those games' precursors, delivers a heady blast of nostalgia, and preserves a little slice of history
Quote:Might & Magic X: Legacy lives up to the quality of its long-lost predecessors. Despite streamlining and accessibility upgrades, it’s not a game for everyone. Turn-based grid walks are a rarity today and the title may feel a bit bizarre to those that never had a chance to experience 90’s era Might & Magic fare, but for those that have always wanted a legitimate heir to the classic series, Might & Magic X: Legacy provides.
Quote:It’s the sort of game I can easily damn with faint praise, really, but the upshot is this: I really quite like Might & Magic X. It’s a throwback to the big old RPGs of yore – the games which weren’t afraid to smash your face in if you wandered into a high-level area ill-prepared, and required you to take notes of NPC locations and quest hints (which is something that is genuinely important here). But it’s a throwback which offers a bit more help, an intuitive interface, and some graphics that generally look rather lovely. If Might & Magic X sounds at all appealing, or if you went “Oh, I remember doing that twenty years ago” at any point in this review, then I imagine you’ll really quite like it too.
Quote:Might & Magic X: Legacy certainly did remind me of fun times I had in the past with earlier entries in the series. I even had fun for several hours. But once the nostalgia wore off, it served as a stark indication that many of these design choices should have been left in the past with its predecessors. What good is a fully 3D world when you can’t touch or interact with hardly anything? What sense does it make that you can’t run away from an encounter in which you’re clearly outmatched (or even move once you’re in melee rage, for that matter)?
These glaring issues, combined with a general lack of polish, make for an experience that just doesn’t live up to my fond memories of Might & Magic. In the case of video games, we have numerous good reasons that they aren’t made the same way as we did 20-plus years ago. Sometimes nostalgia just isn’t enough to conquer outdated or bad design.
Overall it seems the full game is much better than the Early Access, but I'd love to see the thoughts of our users here after they played a good amount of hours

Game is much better theb reviews paint it out to be. Its a bot sad that developers have to push shooters ajd cinematic rpg or otherwise they risk receiving average or negative reviews. Sad time for the gaming itself since anything different is considered inferior.
Venturebeat review is really silly. Its obvious the author has no idea of any balance considerations involved in such a game.

To me reviews are very optimistic, must be tribute to glorious past ...
Graphics outdated (stile - "use your imagination") , 10 years good games looks better. UBI maximum cheapness strategy continue. Looks like UBI think hardcore, old school players will eat it anyway. Not sure, not sure ...

Game critics are tricky, imo. Heroes VI vanilla received a 77 out of 100 score, when it was filled with bugs and crashes, no townscreens, only 5 factions, uplay, the servers down so many times...did I said bugs?. You always have to take them with a grain of salt.
That's why I'm asking here reviews of the players who have played the game
____________
The ridiculous requirements are already a very bad thing, we won't buy a new computer each time a new sequel is out, do we? Companies should learn to make games which don't ask for the last video card installed, but which are creative and work with the medium stuff. Playability first.
Second, the fact that the patch required is 8 GB shows how carefully the game was released. The vanilla version is in the patch, not in the box. And btw, the reviews notes are always better than the game is. So I would count on something like 5/10, won't surprise me.
The early release meant that only a part of the game would be available prior to the 'official' release. Rather messy but it seems to have really improved the state of the game and I think that was a good move. But yeah, 8gb of patch is simply overkill...

1. Ubi pays me bug bucks to spread lies to the gaming communities
2. I just enjoy the game and express my opinion freely.
Choose whichever you like the most.
To my knowledge any mid-range gaming PC can max this game without any problem. And secondly, well, games requirements are supposed to grow with time. Saying that, did Limbic optimise the game to run on most systems? I'm not sure, but I did not have any issue running the game even on my previous PC which was about 4 years old. The graphics are nice and pleasant I found.
Storm-giant, exactly. Heroes 6 vanilla honestly was more 5-6 our of ten the most. In its Shades edition it is an 8-8.5 for me. So is legacy, on release. Its funny, but I enjoyed Skyrim a lot when I first bought it but after about a week I stopped playing it. I like story-driven games a lot more, this is why i like Legacy and Heroes more then Skyrim..
