artu said: Well, about the ice, they were afraid it would break again, it is the tactical thing to do, not taking that risk and wait for the enemy to make a move, since they are surrounded and they'll eventually have to.
Why not just test the ice in the same way they found it would not break. I really do not see why they would stop and sit for the time it would take Dany to get there it just seems implausible.

That part was rather convenient. It would make all the sense in the world to attack under the cover of night. Blind fighting vs undead = gg
Or.. have the night king and his team play target practice while their minions prevent movement to the sides? Be a good sport and stand still, dear old chaps!
Or.. target the ice around them and watch them get hypothermia?
Too easy?

I guess, it also kind of depends on how many of his undead soldiers are expendable for the Night King. Is there a significant difference between losing 50 and 100? Is this like an ant army sacrificing thousands but still attacking with hordes after hordes or does he calcute the attack with the least sacrifice.

He would have just have to sacrifice one to test the ice. Also if you are looking at this from a realistic perspective you will also realize that in reality if the entire undead army just charged them it would have just looked like what happened to Brandon at the end the episode and the Night King would have lost less.

It's always the same silliness, where a disorganized attack of many allows the few to defend and look cool. If they all attacked in formation they'd overwhelm them swiftly, with fewer casualties.
This honestly reminds me of plants vs zombies survival mode ^^

That ending ... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...
Pretty good episode. Some surprising turns. I really liked the banter between Thormund(?) and The Hound.

I do have a gnawing suspicion that the Night King isn't an antagonist.

Considering that winter length varies, I wonder if it is not caused by the whitewalkers. I'm not saying winter would not come without them but maybe they can affect its duration and severity.
I do not believe they are evil by nature but they seem to like conquest and raising the dead so they are probably not coming south to meet the locals and see the sights. Actually, what do they eat? It's not like they are undead, they must have some needs.
Good thing they did not decide to go for a traditional stoning!

Good job Cercei, taking into account Jaime's honour and all.
Still no Clegane deathmatch
Tyrion has balls.
Theon too Immune to nether criticals!
Proper Stark conclusion in Winterfell. Good riddance.
Well, that wall fell fast. The night king is becoming a properly epic villain now that he's got his own dragon.

Every cloud ...
The dragon didn't disappoint, though.
I must admit I had to rewatch and get some help from a family tree to get the implication. To those who struggles a bit like me, here are some clues:
**** SPOILER WARNING ****
JS is actually son of Rhaegar Tagaryen and Lyanna Stark who got secretly married, and hence DT is actually JS's aunt, but he is above her in line of inheritance.

oh that was a good season. pretty fun.
Littlefinger's death was a bit anticlimactic tbh, could've been better, like borrowing some of the stuff from the Bolton dungeons.
And now we armor ourselves and wait for the next season, all the nerds are whining about it.
Time for some Rick and Morty in the meanwhile. the latter show's latest episode was also epic. All over youtube.

Last season is coming up so I thought it would be fun for everybody to make predictions and then we can see who was the closest. Winner gets a case of tetanus.
My prediction is that both snow boy and dragon girl survive the showdown with the zombies as well as the final showdown and end up killing Cerce. They have to sacrifice the two dragons though in order to do it. snow boy takes the throne as the rightful heir and breaks up Westeros back into the seven kingdoms, which corresponds to the historical rise of nations in this world. Dragon girl goes back east to rule her empire there, which IMHO she never should have left in the first place (either from the standpoint of common sense or from the standpoint of character consistency). All the plot threads about Lady Grey and people being raised from the dead are left unresolved. The very last scene of the series is the iron throne being melted down.
