yes, this is a graphical mod where I used Heroes 4 graphics. Sorta marriage between the two games + some other goodies.

I play only Heroes 3 but i think Heroes 3 is best. Because i like realism. Heroes 3 creatures are very realistic and very sensible. For example, weak bone dragon is very weak. This is very sensible because looks like weak  Skeleton archer, goblin knight vs... too absurd.
I like realism i hate absurd creatures, exaggerated things.

I really wonder what makes a fantasy game realistic. Certainly not the enormous dragons and titans right?=)
The more realism you add to a game, the more you suspend his ability to stretch his imagination. Just place a real duck in front of you, there is a limited amount of things you can say about that duck, you most certainly can not stretch your limits and tell things about it that doesn't fit reality. Now place Donald Duck in front of you, I'd bet you can say a great deal more about THAT duck that doesn't necessarily fit reality as much as with the first duck.
If you can stretch your imagination, the game can be too and the potential for the game increases and becomes more fun. It may sound bizarre, but there has never been a hero player in history who actually imagined being a hero on a horse, thats just a myth. There is a whole lot more "mystical" forces that drives a heroes player.
Here is something to think about, how many people wanted to ride a horse while watching themselves do it from a top-down view?

I want games to be unrealistic, thats whats up with it. People come to play games because they want a relief from reality. Who needs realism when people play to have a relief from reality (heh)

The most surrealistic is the last, followed by Heroes VI skeleton but none seams realistic. Maybe you want to say the Heroes III skeleton reminds some medieval art but that is also just a representation.
What I wander is how Blizzard let Ubisoft get away with that ogre? All Heroes V remember Warcraft but this is basicly steal sprites.

I partly understood the graphics point of H3, or at least I understood it being a preference for H3's graphic, but you reference the art of HVI in the compare, while this tread is about HIV. So shouldn't the compare be between H3 & H4, at least in this context..?
Salamandre, I take it you don't know how to add all of that (the objects from the pics you show) to H4? It would indeed be cool if those could be added to H4.

I was also confused by his comparison of H3 to H6 when we're in an H4 thread. Maybe he has his roman numerals backwards (HVI HIV)?
Anyway. Agreed on the graphical mod, looks amazing. I wish I could help the Equilibris team so I could learn how they went about modding. I just don't have enough free time left to really figure it out for myself

It think you must first do defmaker to build defs. Its bad that Equi team tell nothig how they work. No guide. Mayby it is the reason that project is dead...

Not exactly, in fact I am not comfortable with H4 new perspectives. So I designed a graphical mod (which can be downloaded in era mods, 2000+ objects, some of them being composed from several parts, like the castle in first image) where I just show how would be my vision of the next Heroes game after 3 and 4, taking best things from both.
