Coming from TESL, we have the same Shudderwock OTK combo problems. The decks are so similar that it makes me think Ben Brode and Ben Broke had a beer together and decided to troll. It's ridiculous.

I'm really proud of my Dragon Hunter deck. First homebrew deck in a while that is really working for me. Even if someone had the idea before, the way of using Witchwood Piper to fish out buffed Vicious Scalehides is my own (meaning I didn't pick it up anywhere on forums) and it works. The deck is not by any means top tier, but I'm getting a decent number of wins with it, even though I'm facing netdecks like Spiteful Priest or Baku Paladin. And it's fun to play.
My other idea, Menagerie Druid, sucks though

any aggro deck craps on shudderwock though; I estimate that in 2 weeks the deck will either get more refined and be completely broken or that's the best it can do and aggro we'll chase it away from ladder

Not exactly a useful Legendary, but Glinda Crowskin at least works in Naga Giant Warlock deck. So far people seem to make light of her, but I already managed to 'Echo" a board full of Mountain Giants

I might be going crazy, but I played some cubelock and it didn't seem that strong to me.
Odd paladin seems strong but its cryptonite is big taunts, maybe they can deal with one, but 2 or 3 in a row is game over for them.
I was really wrong about rogues, tempo rogue seems really really strong.
Aluneth burn mage with or without secrets is still strong.
Odd hunter is really weak.
The devs already announced they are looking into feedback about shudderwock, this might become the fastest nerf yet.

Imo Cubelock is closest to being a "might win in any matchup" type of deck atm. Because we have a rock-paper-scissors meta, it's especially good to have a deck that might net you some wins in any circumstance. Thats my impression at least. Aggro Pala is also very strong but only if it rushes you down. Ofc that's how this type of decks work.
I don't think Shudderwock is actually a target for a nerf per se. People are more irritated by how long it takes for the animation to play. I don't know how they'll fix it though. They said in the behind the scenes video that they've putted a lot of time for the animation to work as slick as possible. Seems the effort was not enough and the question is if the only way is changing the mechanic (limit the number of Battlecries?)? Alas this will probably kill the card...
That would be a shame. It's probably the only competetive Shaman deck atm, I don't know if Elemental Shaman has any chance to work out...
PS: And yeah, Tempo Rouge might be in a good spot: Hench-Clan Thug has an incredible snowball effect with the class Hero Power, and Blink Fox is such a solid card for any R's deck. I wonder about the two Echo spells, but those are in anti-synergy with Keleseth...

Played 10-15 matches today. Sorry to all who played against me. I played zoolock with Glenda. But else it was just old cards.
I won a lot and met a lot of fun decks. But I hate this first week of a new expansion. You have a fraction of the set and it is so difficult to make fun decks when you dont buy 100+ packs.
Oh well. In two weeks we get monster hunt and I am looking forward to that.

Does she work in this deck? Wanted to try as I've seen people are using her in it (but didn't face it yet)... maybe she will be a sleeper of the set

She works. I had one REALLY good use of her.
Glenda turn 6. Turn 7 I played 7xAbusive Sergeant. That was a fun game
Other than that she is hard to utilize because at turn 6 you really want have burned down your opponent. But she works in zoo for sure.

Wanted to try the Shudderwock deck, cause it's the talk of the town. Literally waited 29 cards to get Grumble, as he was the last card to be drawn...
No thank you I will NEVER like combo decks.
EDIT: So I'm trying Shudderwock in my Elemantal Shaman. Ofc it doesn't have such an impact as in a deck solely built around the card, but I think Elementals have enough of decent Battlecries to make running him worthwile, as a sort of N'Zoth late game effect. The only obvious problems are direct damage Elementals which unfortunately are something that is essential to any Ele-deck. Hmm. Also will try to tweak the deck so that Bogshaper will have his chance. 'Zap!' seems to be a good option here. BTW a shame Rumbling Elemental is available only in Wild...

Ok, so after about a weak into the expansion I thought I would post the decks that work well ( more or less ) for each class in case u guys u wanna try them.
Druid - Spiteful, Big, hadronox witching hour, odd druid with hadronox;
handruid is all over the place and rather weak, no even deck;
Hunter - odd, spell hunter and midrange ( personally I think all are lacking)
Mage - aluneth crow burn, aluneth secret tempo, elemental arugal, even hand arugal mountain giants, big spell, odd big spell control;
Paladin - odd aggro, even aggroish midrange, plain aggro with buffs, midrange valanyr
Priest - spiteful with or without lady in white, inner fire combo, a rather weak control version
Rogue - tempo keleseth, tempo burgle, miracle, quest, odd aggro; ( I am currently brewing an even rogue, seems a bit weak but fun)
Shaman - shudderwock otk which is weak and nothing else;
Warlock - cubelock, control and keleseth zoo;
Warrior - quest, odd quest and rush warrior

Decks that I'm tryharding. Probably a summary of what I've been writing on this forum so far.
Dragon Hunter - super fun, but inconsistent. Really depends on the draw. If I manage to draw Dire Frenzy + Scalehide and play those turn 5/6 I can even win with aggro Pally (the heal is so good). People seem to be confused with this deck, they don't know what to expect.
Menagerie Druid - surprisingly, I do manage to win with it. But Amalgam did not turn out to be the "enabler" I wished for. The deck is simply too slow and inconsistent. Will drop it probably.
Elemental Shaman - seems ok. I gave it a small overhaul with WW's new cards. Shudderwock does work in it (though obviously, you need to reduce the number of direct damage minions).
Shudderwock Shaman - bleh. Combo/OTK deck. No and no...
(Wild) Giant Warlock with Glinda - fun, strong and ruthless (with good draw). Figures.
Tempo Rouge - solid. Blinkfox and Hench-Clan really do the job. It might keep Rouge alive.
Taunt Quest Warrior - my newest discovery, courtesy of Kripparian. I kinda agree with him that this deck might be a meta-killer. It only struggles with Cubelock (but who doesn't). Aggro hits a wall hard. Warpath is really strong. That said had some crazy fatigue games with it already. I've added Blackwald Pixie for 16 dmg with Rag Fireball
I was pretty lucky with Commons and Rares so I can build a few more decks.
Consensus: I'll probably need to craft Baku, currently she's the "must-craft" of the expansion. Aside from competitive side, she seems like a fun card for deck building. Baku aside I'll play around a bit more and probably move to try some netdecks.
Thanks for the list @watcher83. Good thing is, people are also trying a lot of the decks atm so I can somewhat see how some of them work and if I want to try them... btw weren't you saying you won't be playing Odd&Even decks

Well, it turns out that when you open 185 packs ( pre order + 11k gold) you get everything you need, and there's no need to dust baku and genn

Statistically 100 packs are enough to probably get most Commons and Rares. Add dust from Hall of Fame + dust from disenchanting doubles is a few more Epics/Legends.
At least that's what my statistics say, I open around 100 packs each set.

I don't know the math, but from 185 packs got all the rares and commons, about half the epics I wanted and 9 legendaries ( all of them were decent to keep, including genn and baku), with the dust that I got and the 5k I had previous I crafted another 7 legendaries that I wanted and about 8-10 epics which I didn't get from packs, was left with 20 dust after.

I keep statistics since Whispers of Old Gods, and when summarizing all packs, freebies and bought with gold, it usually shows around 100 packs per expansion. I usually get all Commons and almost every Rare, and because I'm a collector to some extent, I always craft those few missing Rares (usually around 2-3).
Out of curiousity, which Legendaries did you craft watcher83 and which you would recommend?

I got from packs: Ashmore, Genn, Baku, Splintergraft, Toki, Tess, Glinda, Emeris and Shaw. ( glinda was given for free when I logged in)
I crafted Aviana, Arugal, Hagatha, Shudderwock, Face Collector, Godfrey and Lady in White.
I recommend crafting what you enjoy if u are a collector; but if u are on a budget and want to get a competitive deck I recommend waiting till beginning of may when the meta is figured out, and then it's easy to pick legendaries for a deck or two.
As a personal opinion Tess Greymane is one of the coolest cards in the game.
As a final note if you are just looking for strong on their own legendaries I think u cannot go wrong with Shaw,Godfrey or much to my surprise Genn and Baku.

This advice is always true. But I think we won't have to wait two months. I think we can already tell which Legendaries are, at least, safe to craft (meaning will see play). Not many but at least few...
Baku is a safe bet. A lot of deck ideas + a few top tier ones. Godfrey is good if you want to play Controlock, whereas I think Cubelock will manage without it (though it's a "nice to have").
watcher83 said: As a final note if you are just looking for strong on their own legendaries I think u cannot go wrong with Shaw, Godfrey or much to my surprise Genn and Baku.
I'm looking for fun factor mostly. I like Legendaries that you can use in many decks (you get a feeling of your "funds" being invested right), but Blizzard won't make such "fits anywhere" Legendaries anymore as their main rule for nerfs is "we see this card in too many decks" (look Corridor Creeper).
I'm not sure about Shaw though, is he really that good? He seems slow and needs to stay on board to really make use of him... I don't think I faced a deck with him even once.
So far I crafted Emriss and Shudderwock. While I knew that Emriss won't be very useful, I simply needed to craft her. I knew all along I would play Dragon Hunter, and it was the right decision as I really enjoy this deck and on rare occasions Emriss can really pack a punch with 16/16 KK, Buffed Scalehide or 8/22 Ysera
I think I might've been a bit hasty with crafting Shudderwock. After I'll get bored with Elemental Shaman and try a few Battlecry trash decks I might stop using it. But it's not wasted dust per se, I think he will comeback occasionally...
I'm also glad I got Ashmore in a pack. She is solid, but it's harder to build a deck around her then I thought so her value might be a bit lower. I could be wrong though, maybe a strong deck with her will emerge, she's a Neutral after all.
I'm sitting on 4000+ dust so I can still craft some stuff. I'm closest to crafting Baku, but I think I'll wait a bit. Not because I'm not sure about her, but because I want to try different stuff for now...
PS: Taunt Druid is great! I've been struggling to find a solid Druid deck recently, but this one is cool and competetive. Why didn't I think of using Cube with Hadronox before? Witching Hour is also good as Hadronox is the only Beast in the deck. But let's face it, part of the goodness comes from the fact that Rotten Applebaum is such a solid card.
