Finaly some good game.
Colombia deserved at least extra time. Ospina burried them.
Brazil was too cowardly in the last 20-30 minutes.

Again Brazil with great first half and then playing snow on the second half. They've been very lucky to reach the semifinals, but I think Germany will crush them.
Thiago Silva (one of their best players) will miss it, we have to see if neymar can make it too.
Brazil sooooo lucky, had Colombia started better and not give the first goal...

So Neymar is out of the WC after the tackle with Zuniga. It seems Oscar should pull the strings now. For the matches they played together it looks like they are incompatible in the tactical system.

What a crazy game! It was really frustrating to cheer for the Netherlands, so many missed chances. Navas is one damn good goalkeeper.
In the end though it was a great game, Robben played out of his mind. Costa Rica's defensive play was a complete stellar and once again, Navas!
I always hate when a game is decided by penalties but this was quite something. A goalkeeper switch?  No words, so smart.
This game has left me without words.

Argentina still leaves me more doubts than Germany or Netherlands. One lucky goal (don't get me wrong, Higuaín strike it at first thought excellently, but it was a freaking rebound and Courtosis had no chance). Belgium played poorly though.
CR - Netherlands was super crazy indeed. A bit boring for some time, but it got very exciting as time went on. And how on earth did this didn't ended in goal WTF. CR did managed to survive to PK, but Krul sub was superb by LVG.
Too bad both Courtosis and Navas leave the WC, both of them are such high quality keepers

None of the past 8 games have gone my way Poor Costa Rica. So close.
It looks like we might have the Brazil v Argentina final that I predicted.
With the four remaining teams I guess I'm cheering for a German Cup victory. The former German team captain is one of the three hosts for the FIFA halftime & pre/post game here on ESPN (States) He did the same thing in either 2012 or the 2010 Cup; can't remember which.

i watched the game between the netherlands and costa rica(family get-together, it wasn't my decision). i rooted for the netherlands, but only in far-fetched hopes that, if they won, they would start selling soft drugs to tourists again in the stores.
on a side note... soccer is ****ing BORING. one score the entire ****ing game(and not even during the actual time limit for the game). the same back and forth, back and forth; the same trying to draw the players out away from the goal... it was like watching flies ****. i really do not see what all the fuss is about. i'd rather watch american football any day of the week. but, i can see why people riot over that game; when they have to watch a bunch of people run around kicking a ball, and then fail to even score the entire time. maybe the fans who win, are only glad because they don't have to exert the aggression it takes to flip over cars, set fires, and violently attack people and/or kill them? why there are people who actually like soccer, is beyond my comprehension. maybe they're all masochists, or are bored with the increased activity of other games?

Go watch some groupstage games and you tell me that again 
Besides, neither this games have been the most absolute exciting ones nor football is just goals.

Agreed. With emphasis on the Germany - Brazil game, Brazil is missing two key players, the most important ones.

are you referring to strategy? because i only saw ONE strategy, and it took forever to carry it to fruition. the only STRATEGY i saw, was: let's keep kicking this ball back and forth between us in the middle of the field, far from the goal, so that the other team gets fed up with waiting, and comes out to get the ball, so that way we can kick it closer to the goal, with less of a chance of them blocking and/or stealing it. 
tell me i'm wrong. please describe what i should be watching for? camaraderie? fill me in, because i just don't get the attraction. i'd rather watch golf, ffs. and i HATE golf.
