Do Developers Make Creature Gender Decisions or Publishers?
Hello guys, sorry, I'm not really familiar with all these
but are the developers to blame for the feminist political correctness of Heroes 6 or the publishers?
The reason why I'm asking is that I heard Ubi dropped Blackhole as its Developers, so I don't know if I'll be happy or not.
If it was the developers who made those decisions then, I'll be happy, there's a greater chance Heroes 7 will NOT be feministic, if not, then, here's hoping Heroes 7 will go back to the greatness it once was.

why am I instantly hated for not liking the female dominance in Heroes 6? There were a few people complaining about the male dominance in Heroes 5 and people respected their opinions. That's double standard.
Anyway, back to topic, is it Ubi's fault or Blackholes?

Developpers develop the game. Publishers publish it. Content is made by the developper, but publishers can put arbitrary demands on the developper, like: "There has to be might and magic elements in our might and magic game."

Even if I hated the female genies on IV I don't care much about creature gender at all but in V the were some from the Dark Elves that were a gift to the eye. So, as chauvinist as I can be, it is a pleasure to have female creatures, if they are lookers!
I thing that even if the decision to make this or that creature male or female could have been taken by the developers, obviously the marketing decision of make politacly correct gender creatures (if there was one) has to came from Ubisoft.
I must say I find this discussion pointless.

Which they say just as we finish our newest installment, might & magic heroes 43 cute bunnies edition, no war, only love. Mainly consisting of character from MLP doing back flips and driving stunt cars.
Edit: I almost forgot why I wrote in the first place.
@bloodsucker I don't agree women are only good for their looks. If you play might and magic series, choosing a female sorc/cleric versus a male one gives at least me a very different feel for the character. Somehow I see the male sorcerer more light magic oriented, poor at combat, an archmage who seeks peace and uses light magic to end the meaningless wars, while the female sorceress uses fast daggers for lethal blows together with wicked dark magic and in her pursuit of evil she sacrifices her beautiful flesh to become a horrendous lich who sets the world ablaze.

Oh, and @OP... Unless the publisher specifies that they need/ want something, the Developer is given full license over the title. The publisher can still veto things that the developer adds in, but without a look at the contract/ the vetos made, we can't exactly say who's decission it was. (Though we can assume that the pub at least appeoved of the female saturation... Seeing as they didn't kill it like our hopes and dreams.  )
That being said, why all the girl hate? In a magic setting, HoMM doesn't exactly push any boudaries as far as letting girls into combat... Hell, if they added in BABIES as a combat unit that wouldn't be unheard of. *Cough*AgeofWonders3Draconians*Cough*
The only things I didn't like about the female units were where they came from, lore wise. Glories were basically mini angels according to their lore (why? You already had angels damnit, and a demon/ witch hunter of some kind would have worked better for the setting imo) Also, if Haven has that many holy virgins laying around, how are they spawning that many troops? And seriously, the spring maiden is just dumb. Like, no excuses, it's dumb. Hate it so much... More because I never figured out how to use it than anything else. Besides those things, I actually liked how they functioned in gane and didn't mind that they were females. Hell, that was a non-issue to me.
... Spring spirits are the exception, as the entire unit was just dumb. Hate them so much.

Get on with the program bro. When you apply to a job requiring social interaction, and a girl applies, at equal skills, she will get the job. Yes. They put girls everywhere now. Just go to the gym and tell yourself at least you don't need to get fake tits to get 'em big.

I don't get why everything must be a pretext to sexism now. anyway, when medias aren't fueling racism against blacks/ muslims/ jews/ romanians, etc.... it is the poor women who get victimized because they aren't featured in the new assassin's creed... and who knows, some celebrity might have done a sexist joke, which would be more than a good reason for women to start a riot, right?...

If you want to be hired cuz you re a hot guy I suggest applying to a job where old grand ma's often hang. Perhaps you could work at a bingo or something, so all grand ma's can stare at your ass every time you turn around, if that s what you re so jealous of.
