I just hope it doesn't come with reduced number of factions again.
It's about time for it though, as I have just completed H6 campaigns.
Last M&M game was actually pretty decent (M%Mx), so my hopes are up.

It pains me deeply to say it,
but I hope this one pisses off the fans once again and tanks, so Ubisoft will cease production on the series
and looks like it's already going my way, with them forcing Ashan and Peter Griffin down our throats again
fingers crossed

Storm-Giant said: It actually was the M&M title with more sales
It's also the first 'Heroes' title since H2 to end up with only one actual expansion pack.

Remastered background picture - I think it's shot from a teaser trailer (because of 3d rendered columns) that will be revealed at Gamescom.
So, of course, it is picture of civil war:
in the centre of the stained-glass window griffin vs stag
to the left unicorn vs wolf???
and upper greyhound vs somebody with, I guess, staghorns:
and maybe bull vs ???

The mural on the picture reminds me of that intro cinematic in HoMM 5. You know where that couple about to marry gets ganked by a devil?

If that's part of the trailer, then maybe (MAYBE) the game would start with the Griffin ascension, and then develop the plot into something else (like Academy fighting with Sylvann for x reason, anything like that).
One can dream, right?

Heroes online? You seriously think Ubisoft has the skills required to create a MMORPG?

Well...Excuse Me to intrude but,
I believe that Ubisoft has turned to consoles and, to everything mobile enough to be pocket size.
Marvel's Avengers: Battle for Earth's game has been launched in 2012 and, requires the Kinect sensor unit to play it. Was not much of a success since I bought it last year(2013) at a liquidation sale from the Wal-Mart's electronics section of that closest store to my living place.
Also, that South Park game got released last year by Ubisoft, also. Last year's markets as well. Gaming took a back seat in the kids lives these days. These kids require extremely simple games for their becoming gravely into a state of extreme simpleton like mind set.
Ubisoft realized that online gaming is, also, dropping off the face of the Earth, so...returning to the good ole' days of stand-alone strategy gaming is, quite, a very strong possibility. Trying to regain the, getting much older, PC players of 7 years ago(MMH5:T.o.T.E's time of glory).
Now, like Verriker wrote, lets all of us, cross our fingers for such revival of the Might and Magic Heroes series. Whatever name it gets, lets just take it as it comes and, try to enjoy it to its full potential. I will surely try doing so, as much as I can since, Street-Fighter gaming can become tedious after time and time again.

lol. Didn't even saw that, silly me.
And ofc there's the possibility of Heroes online being announced. But what about Ivan in that situation? I don't think I've seen anything related to that the short time I've played it.

Ubisoft wouldn't create this hype if it were for Heroes Online...game was already announced 2 years ago, it's now on beta on a couple of languages and at best it gets featured in Ubisoft twitch stream (like this week).
I believe it's safe to assume it's going to be something new

843 ASD is the year Duke Ivan conquered the Holy Empire throne after the Falcon family got exterminated. The new game should revolve around the conquest of the throne ... and should once more be centered around Humans
That smells more like an action game or a RTS than a new HoMM or M&M game.
