Since H5, ubi has taken the hint that all factions should get equal amounts of action so I would not worry about that. In that regard H6 did fairly well, giving all campaign heroes the opportunity to test their own faction and more importantly, see how it plays against the other factions. I had my share of criticism on the campaigns but that was a decision that I enjoyed.
What I miss, is carryover bonuses. Take H2, you could have optional missions to gain an artifact or gain an alliance with certain creatures. Even switch sides. In H3 we had the angelic alliance and cloak of death's shadow awesomeness. I am hoping that there will be consequences for things you did or did not do, in future missions.

Actually, the campaigns are pretty frigging uninteresting. Best campaigns in terms of real HoMM gameplay were in HoMM 2. Why? Because there were no carryover HEROES, but carryover BONUSSES, your NEW town/heroes would get.
The other side of the coin was HoMM IV, making carryover Heroes really viable: 100 possible skill and level gains per heroes, you never copuld hope to gain on one single map.
Between those two - sorry - the hybrids are a waste of time, money and effort.
Of course there would be some possibilities - you might play a campaign over a very long period, for example, with changing heroes: dynasty weapons/artifacts as a campaign only trait were pretty good -, but for that there would have to be kind of an acknowledgement first, that spreading what you can have on one map over a couple of them, following some "story" is NOT it. Well, not outside of HoMM IV or anything like that.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but on their Facebook page, every week they post something on the next Heroes game. Few hours ago they posted about HoMM5 so MMH6 post is coming next week or sooner. I am guessing few days later they will announce MMH7.

So, as one can see, Ubi being a company that has let down fans so many times already, has a guarantee that the game will spark interest (me included) and fans will flock like birds to any news regarding the franchise. This forum has not seen such an activity in a long time

We still have to see H5 or H6 levels of activity here. After H6 a lot of people have lost faith in the series...
