Trogs slightly remind me of this "guy", despite the non-humanoid shape.
Tracker... eh, like we ever needed those extra spikes. Might pierce her eye out.
Shade seems to be cool. Don't understand why the need for those thick blades; aren't they supposed to have light, not heavy equipment?
To me, it seems they are getting somewhere... unsure where, though.

Wow, sorry but with this kind of remark why should anyone bother to work on models for the community. Also, Lizard was making an example about polys and nothing else.

Did common knights use these armors? Did even moderately wealthy knights use armors like these? And as I said, it is only my opinion since you don't gain any benefits from it. And I would still not want to have armors like that in the game. Also, how large percentage of armors were this decorated?

Overdecorated? Well, maybe. But, you gotta ask yourself these things: is this armor meant for any soldier or just the higher-ranking commanders? Is this meant to be worn for war or events at some fancy castle? Is this armor made from one country, or do others have it? And finally, does this armor contain spikes?

And some of those armors were worn in battle.
Another thing ... Do you actually imagine all units as clones? Why shouldn't representative of a unit wear decorated armor.

OK new plan. It will be a Mino. You do have a Mino, don't you? A treant? Hydra? But you have to have a pixie somewhere, or a Djinn, or a shinei Doe!
Oh wait a sec! I almost wanted to apply realistic characteristics to an over the top fantasy setting, so inbred with stolen ideas from mythology and other games, that if it would come up with something original, it would think it wasa tumor.
Dark humor aside... You get my point?

IDK ... have you looked up Samurai armors? They were detailed, colorful, and very decorated in their way... :-P

And people seem to forget that this is fantasy game. Practicality has nothing to do with armor on freaking dark elf. Its like objecting why Unicorn has spiked silver armor when mythril is lighter and spikes diminish look of its horn.
How can you say that gold on assassin's armor hinder his stealth when it can stand next to entire unit in broad daylight in open field.

@Dark Whisperer: those are parade armors, not used in combat, also it doesn't have useless apendages. You should at least posted hussars

You are missing the point. It's not about looks this time. I didn't add anything, didn't modified the texture. I just hastly deleted polys from ubi version in 5 mins. I know it's not that good, but that wasn't my intetion. It's just the fact that overdecoration isn't good for performance
