No, They wanted to reuse models and both were seen in H6 while Faketres/Rampart were not and as such went against each other: They could only create new models for one faction.
Though I'm sure Lore had some impact but not as big as one might imagine.

The story of Dungeon won't be about Raelag, for Jorgen (as well as Kaspar) doesn't even know who he is (implying that Raelag became subject to the Void magic). And it is Jorgen who will tell DE story.
