I see plenty of new effects during attack animations, etc. The game itself seems to be quite polished. I wonder what build will be available during Beta 2. Hopefully the most up to date.

"Seems" is the catchphrase here . If I get time to play it, I'll make sure to check the bugs I found in the first beta and see how many they fixed.

That's because it's a trailer  A trailer is like an advertisement for that super cleaning product that is better than "Average Household Cleaning Product" brand they just invented especially for compassion

I really like how they waste time and resources for trailers that are full of stuff that you won't find in the actual game. Dynamic camera, action scenes, explosions! Yeah that's exactly what the Heroes series is all about! Gotta lure those kiddies to play the game...

This made me laugh. Yeah.. no. The purpose of this closed beta is just marketing. The game's shipping in less than a month after this deliverable. There isn't a single piece of feedback that would cause any change outside of a bug, of which I'm sure people will find many.

Eugen Systems with their Preorder beta for Act of Aggression is a positive example. The beta has lasted since july to 2th september, when the game will be released, and they had been on permanent communication with its playtester base, fixing bugs, changing stuff for balance, and adding a faction on the go.
This one, i agree, one week playtest only showed the glaring bug related issues this game will have. The last one already felt like an alpha.
As a marketing tool they used it on the most crappy way possible. They show how snow the game is, and then don't let the customers see if any feedback went through or if they managed to fix things. It seems like it is intended for people to just ask for a refund on their pre-order. Because that's what i did after playing prior beta.
