Erwin said: Our own perception of Heroes 6 is that it is worth a 8.5/10, which is closer to Heroes 3 (8.75) than to Heroes 5 (7.9).
We really consider we have kept the "soul" of the Heroes series, delivered a huge amount of contents (hours of gameplay, quantity and variety of assets), and also pushed all the levers of the game to 120% - graphics, story, RPG layer (with the addition of the Reputation system), strategy on the adventure map (reduction of tedious micromanagement, addition of the area of control and town conversion features), tactics on the combat map (improved racial ability, more variety for the battle conditions and objectives, boss fights).

Erwin said: Answer: The toughest compromise was to accept the fact that the game would be released with town screens that we felt were not satisfying. But, as said before, it's on top of our post-launch support priority list.
The toughest choice was the revised skill system. It was discussed at length with the VIP fans from our private forum, and our first proposal was (justly) discarded in favour of the current system.

Answer: My own favorite faction has always been Asylum / Dungeon, maybe because I'm so fond of black
More seriously, I think it's because I like Magic, Dragons, Minotaurs (my main WOW character is a Tauren) and Dark ELves (now that they're leading this faction).
In H6 I prefer to play Necropolis (black again I suppose, but I really enjoy the creature line-up and their abilities, and also the faction's philosophy and Anastasya's campaign).

Quote: We understand some fans, and press people, are unsure about some changes that were brought to their favorite game. "Why change a formula that I have enjoyed for so long?"
Our message to them is: try out the game, and not just a single map. Play it for as long as you have played Heroes 3, or 5, and we're confident you will understand our choices, and love this game as much, if not more, than its predecessors!
Love is a big word, but like (and enjoy) is certainly there . See, it isn't that difficult at all .

I can't say much, but one may imply that he openly states favoring WOW. Nothing wrong about it, though it can also be seen some WOW elements into Heroes of Might amd Magic... of, as how Erwan pronounces it, "Might & Magic: Heroes".

Love, like, what difference does it make
I think there is only one game I truly 'love': Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds, 1998.

That's just pure gold. The rest....well, there is a lot that I like, Heroes 3-6 among them, but do I really LOVE them? Maybe, maybe not, but I like, enjoy and embrace them .
Like, or like a lot. Definately the latter. I like HoMM/MMH a lot in general.

He really said these stuff? Oh man, that's so much 'los' (lying on spasms). Can't even bring myself to 'lol' anymore. Actually, I usually lie when I say lol. The most anything around here made me was chuckle, very briefly, and probably due some really bad news, stuff of legends, like 115% of anything Erwin says.

They're just like politicians: they have NO IDEA whatsoever as to what the people they're working for like and favor.
I'm getting the impression that Erwan is an excentric artist, you know, of the kind that thinks his work is fabulous while only very few people can admire the "beauty" of it - and the rest considers it mediocre at best, but he refuses to see it that way, blinded by his own 'perfection'. Maybe he's even incapable of seeing it that way.

Remember, he even admitted in this article that he has nearly no idea on how to make a good "Heroes" game.

Most artist become admired after their death. Maybe after his suicide they'll be considered to be hidden gems of torb-based strategy genre?
