this thread is still alive? holy snow.
i liked some of the graphics from h6, myself. that and the online heroes game. i added a handful of plants into my patch from one of them.

I would definitely love to see H8 (even more as I enjoy H6 and H7) but I don't wish to see the end of its development, as it's getting worse and worse since H5. Maybe H8 would be abandoned immediately after its release.
Additionally, I cannot imagine Ubisoft announcing anything like that. Every Heroes game has always been compared with its ancestors. Even H7's starting position was not good at all after H6, not rather speaking about the current one. On the other hand, I would really like to see them explaining what caused problems of H7 (read "blaming everything else than themselves").

And JVC is now busy with CQ (and so we are) so stop dreaming and return back to reality

Don't underestimate a good director, also he would obviously have some of the old NWC crew on board like he did for Creature Quest (which is a blast btw). And if you're mentioning the RTS thing he said his final decision on the matter was to keep it turned-based.

fair enough that is more plausible than Mount Olympus picture comment however still far fetched for him to announce new game on Facebook, be sure to clearly confirm he is really indeed talking about a next Heroes and not just composing for that Showdown rubbish or something silly like that lol
