Wow.. I'm am amazed.. amazed about how negative, selfish, un-understanding and damned right stoopid some people here are.
You want them to give you 100% information on a project that isn't even in the testing phase? Whose core elements are still being designed, created and might change several times?
You have approx 350+ days until the game will even be near releasing, and you act like it would be tomorrow. Do you expect them to tell you each and every detail there done that day? Do you think they have nothing better to do then to feed you your delcius info cake? Do you think they don't have enough work on the game as it is?
You should be happy that their even doing this shadow council stuff. Giving you a steady info about the game, and even letting you decide what is going to be in it. I don't see many games doing something like this.
I don't know about you, but I would like the devs, all of them, to focus on the game, and let CM like Kimmundi give us some useless info, flavor texts etc., so the game won't end up as bad as his younger brother.
The info is not useful most of the time, but do you really expect them to think of approx. 280+ post just to keep you happy? Don't make me sick.

Yes random heroes fan. They are "Community Developers" so not even real developers. They are just some random dudes on Ubis payroll who happen to like heroes.

I expect nothing. That is the only reaction Ubi is going to get out of me. But featuring completely useless information on the main site as "News" makes me question how they spend their development budget AGAIN.
I know posting useless BS on social media sites is a very millennial thing and they try to cash in on that generation as well, not just the generation that grew up on H1/2/3/4, but I don't have to like it.

I did not mention a single name, but still some react. That means they are aware of what they do.. So tell me. If you expect nothing, then why are you here? Why do you have the need to comment? Your comments are not nice, or creative, they are hateful only for the reason of being hateful. Nobody forced you to fallow that site. Or even be interested in the game until it comes out. So either you want the game to be good, but your inner anger and hate just can't let you have a positive motivation, or you pitiful person, a troll who hates for the solo reason of his inner hate, that he alone can defeat. Which are you?
Everybody can have his own opinion, but an opinion, as bad as it gets, says something. What do post such as yours say? That H6 was generally bad? Yes we all know that. That after 10 years you can't get over your heart that Ubi has the brand? That you will never acknowledge that they even made one or two good games in that time?

And what is so hard to grasp on the point that how Ubi manages/mismanages the community and the news cycle rubs people the wrong way? If they want to be more involved with the community then they should join here. Not only Marzhin is allowed community interaction. I'm sure people would welcome them with open arms me included. That is why this site - Heroes Community - exists. The Game development site is for game development news.
I think I made my point so no more posts from me on this.

Is this a joke? Do you read these forums? Have you noticed how many different opinions, how many fanatic people with 0 chance of an opinion change are here? And you think, that with all their work they would even care about talking to people like you, who only are here to shun their work, you did not even had a chance to try out?
How is it rubbing the community in the wrong way? We have a general source of legit information that we can distribute between our fansites, talk about it on the source on a general level, or on the fansites in a more detailed or theoretical level.
Btw tell me what is more logical? Try to fallow 20+ different fansites and forum, all in different languages, or make one general channel that works as a semi official one, and give everybody the option to join? Can you imagine how it would be, if they would have to communicate on each fansite directly? How much time it would cost? Time Marzhin could invest in a better story or an extra map. Things you care about? And how much resources would it cost? Resources that you are afraid are wasted how of them would be wasted if they gave the news out individually rather than via a central channel?
Edit
Quote: The Game development site is for game development news.
And this. The game development site si for things connected to the games development. And I'm sorry that I'm not a soul-less robot, but the people who work on the game ARE PART OF ITS DEVELOPMENT. I know it's hard to see their faces behind all those lines of code, graphics and flower text, but this had to be done by people. And not all of them are Romero who has almost an iconic status. I think it makes them feel nice to see their names, and people actually directly thanking them rather than some corporate brand/company name.
Or in your case. Makes them sick, due to no respect to their work.
Is it to much to ask for some recognition? Other than a line in the end credits that most people don't even read?

I think your attempt to reason is a shot in the dark at best, DJ. The guy believes that community managers are just random guys happening to like Heroes. He doesn't view them as part of the Heroes VII team even though they both mentioned it. Or that must be part of the fake background and professional lies theories that he came up with out of his own mind with no real evidence.
Just leave him, haters are gonna hate.

On the whole development budget thing, is there money being wasted? Does it cost alot to give us this information, even though not linked to the actual development of the game? I don't really think so.

Indeed, many old players remains H3 and lost interest when Ubi took over, resulting as silence and abstinence from their side.

Dude, like, almost every developing game i have ever seen has one of those posts on the official site. That doesnt make them any less professional. We know your opinion comes from a place of resentment and you are allowed to express it but we're also allowed to call out on the ignorance of it.

When information is scarce, discontent follows... and leads to flame wars.
I'm not interested in Duke Ivan's history so I don't read those texts, but for some people those things are interesting (mainly because they like Marzhins work). I'm also disappointed with the lack of "concrete" information, but there is a reason for it (early development phase), and we have to accept it. I'm also somewhat a designer so I know the feeling of releasing sth that is half-finished, so I can understand why the devs won't show as the line-ups for instance. As of now things are simple: we have to wait.
Ubi's policy about budgeting etc is a different matter... come to think of it, this could be a situation in which Ubi is "forcing" Limbic into activity saying something in the lines of "we announced the game (oh look s*it happened) and fans are snowing for info... do something!". That's why guys at Limbic are salvaging whatever they can get their hands on and are putting it on the site/forums, even if this info lacks in substance.
