Maybe victims isn't the most accurate description. Uhmm.. short end of the straw is more like it.. You know what I mean?
EDIT: Yeah Orcs. Who's hoping one creature will be named Immortals. Like Persian Immortals? Since they'll be in the desert?
Orcs of Sahaar are a nomadic tribe, so I won't expect such a fancy unit as an Immortal, although probably Wyverns, Gnolls and even Behemoths will come back. Centaurs, Goblins and Cyclops, also harpies are nearly certain to be seen again.

There will be no behemoths as a champion. In Ashan Cyclops is basically behe.

I still object to the idea that harpies should be in Stronghold. I don't think they fit in. True Goblins are weak too, but they orcoids so they fit.
But harpies? meh, go back to dungeon or cross to swamp-sanctuary or something.
Also I don't see why wouldn't we have Behemoths. Wyvern would be a snowty champion choice, so there needs to be something besides Cyclop.

Thunderbird? I would be fine with behemoths, of course...
But Thunderbirds are better as far as I'm concerned . Although there is the issue with Academy's magical poultry...

@ I guess. Not an expert on lore.
And yeah, thunderbird would be a bad idea since we already have a bird.
Maybe an Oliphant? That'd be epic.

Thunderbird and Behemoth for me. i'm so sick of the Cyclopes they can just go die in a fire for all i care. also, please tone down the orcs a bit. there's too many of them and shamans kinda need to go as i find them really boring. One soldier orc is enough and bring back melee centaurs

Oh they were girls? well, that point is the same. Their facial features/hair could pass as either really pretty men or as pretty P!nk clones, the big armor could have anything under it and they didnt actually speak.

Harpies fit perfectly in stronghold. My only gripe is that goblins need to be wolf riders. Or better yet make them a ranged cavalary like the centaur but with fewer shots(4 max). In H5 and H6 they seemd too puny to take too seriously.
Wyverns on the other hand pose a different question. Lorewise they belong to the champion tier but at the same time kinda don't(again, brilliant storywriting by Ubi, I just can not stop repeating myself) I think they should get a chance as champion simply for the reason that the elite creatures in H6 were the perfect balance in H6 and don't need any "innovation".

Considering there's room for another Champion creature, I suspect the Behemoth will return as a contender for that role.
The original Harpy from Greek mythology was initially a "good" creature, in that it was a wind spirit, carrying off evil-doers to their fate: the Erinyes (goddesses of vengeance). It was later in the Roman mythology that they became evil wind spirits of destruction, punishing people by dragging them off to the underworld. Since the Orcs are all about "Mother Earth, Father Sky", I can see Harpies as befitting the Father Sky element, while also the more general destructive, chaotic theme that has always been a forte of Stronghold.

First time I've heard of a version that treats Harpies and Erinyes as the same creature...and I *am* Greek . In any case, Erinyes were decidely not good...until the time of the Eumenides, at least.
That said, I certainly agree concerning Harpies being a natural fit for the Father Sky aspect.

I didn't say they were the same creature . Quite on the contrary, but obviously my wording was poor. What I meant to say was that Harpies carried off "bad people" to the Erinyes, so the Erinyes could exact their vengeance on those people for what they did. In that respect, the Harpies were couriers for the Erinyes.

Thanks god. Two birds would be definitely too much. Since they are not dragons ( widely accepted fantasy creatures ) to make it.

Only Orcs were made with demon blood, not the beastmen.
As a replacement for the orcs, the Wizards eventually (in 512 YSD) created beastmen, including minotaurs, centaurs, harpies, lamasus and wanizames. Because the lamasus died quickly, they rose to undead life by the Necromancers, embracing them. The wanizame were gifted to the Nagas as guards, and the harpies and centaurs were taken by the Orcs. The minotaurs, cave creatures, were then taken by the Dark Elves, and thus eventually, the Wizards remained empty handed, so they created mindless creatures, like gargoyles and golems.

Well, "orcs, goblins, and cyclopses." Very much a Goldilocks situation: "The wizards made the goblin, but it was too small. The wizards made the cyclops, but it was too big. The wizard made the orc, and it was juuuuust right."
Also, the wizards still have the Rakshasa, if by virtue of being treated better than all the other beastmen.

Then how come the H5 Centaurs had the bloodrage ability?
Weren't they a cross between criminals and Nightmares?
But now Nightmares aren't part of Inferno anymore?
Or are there multiple types for each element?
I'm confused

Nah, haven't you heard? Nightmares are part of the Dungeon now.
So Centaurs have new abilities to teleport and be invisible at night.
