You forgot the Ratmen from Academy (they served at least House Eterna).
Those were never branded as Beastman, or can you prove me wrong? The only game they are present is DoC where they are branded as "rat"s.
Gnolls ? Ratmen ? When did that happen ?
On a sidenote-witch version of Sylvan do you prefer best ?

There was a Manga ? Next thing we'll be seeing is a HOMM movie.
So, it's confirmed that we've got Gnolls. Man, really ? We've got knife-throwing belly dancers and freaking Gnolls and they are still not in the game. Why, Ubisoft, why ?

Heroes is not the only M&M game out there you know. The Card game M&M: Duel of champions (DoC) has used it's potential, and expanded the world beyond the limitations of Heroes Games. It introduced several Subfactions, such as Sayama, the desert naga, or The Black skull Tribe, orcs tainted by a chaos vein. They also expanded several known subfactions, like individual Hauses of Academy or Dutchies in Haven. The H7 Haven style is heavelly inspired by the games take on the Wolf Dutchy units.
In this game Beastman like Gnolls or Tawarts were introduced.

Not enough room. Gnolls are in Stronghold for the most part, those that aren't aren't with anybody.
Now in Stronghold you got 8 slots nowadays. And you want at least 2 Orcs in, cause it's an Orc faction nowadays. You also want a Goblin in and a Cyclops, cause they've always been there, especially the Cyclops. That's already 4 slots filled. And you want Centaurs in and Harpies, probably, cause they're a large part of the faction nowadays. That makes 6 slots. And people have been begging for Behemoths back, and who can realy blame them. So that's 7 slots. Which leaves you with 1 slot to do something else.
But there is a hitch. You only got 3 slots for Core. Cause let's face it, Gnolls are nice and all, but they ain't Elites and they sure ain't Champions. But that also goes for Gobbos and Harpies. So unless your willing to kick one of those Orcs up to Elite, there isn't any room for Gnolls.
Unless we get more slots for a faction, things like this are gonna happen all the time. The roster gets bigger and bigger, but the slots in a faction don't grow along.

Hi All!
Please feel free to congratulate me, since I’ve read through all 286 pages! Well this H7 looks promising. And I somehow put more confidence into Limbic then into BH, mainly because of the huge gap in salary between Hungary and Germany, and well, argh..., forget it. But one thing I am concerned about is if the game is in pre-alpha – as someone explained here – how will it be finished in just one year? If I understand correctly faction implementation just began, while the last two factions not even started??? Even if reusing 50% of art etc, it still feels so short time remaining...
Otherwise I liked everything I read so far, the return to H5 and other well proved concepts etc. I’m not really concerned about the semi randomness. The only think I highly dislike so far is the 3 tier system. I liked how in H5 you always got more and more powerful creatures. This makes you feel a gradual progress through 7 distinct steps. I’ve read here, however, that 3 tiers is not equal to 3 different strength level, which can save my day, so as within the same tier a creature can be more powerful than another? How so? Can someone expand on this?

Likely by rushing, then thinking about patches later.

Congrats
Each tier should have two units similar in power, with the third being stronger. To an extent this was also the case in H6 but I believe the differences will be more pronounced now. And we have also launched a legendary campaign (lots of whining!) to get the champions stronger compared to the other tiers

I wouldn't prove you wrong as the Ratkin are effectively with the keyword Rat and not Beastman.
It's from old memory I have from old discussions with some devs.
I could be of course mistaken (tempus fugit).
But, keywords are not always the end of all debate.
Take for example Okane no Okane, it's a Dragon Eel, but the only used keyword is Eel.
You could say, well, it's not a dragon but then you have the Dragon Golem, being not really a dragon but an animated construct, having the keyword Dragon.
Or Hi Ryu, considered a Dragon in Heroes 6, and being a Dragon Eel.
Perhaps some peoples from Ubi could answer this point.
Edit: Beside, it's Taweret on Ashan.

Thanks for the info! That’s at least sounds a bit better (makes five power levels). Will building of a same tier require different town level or all 3 will be available at a given level? I hope it is the former. Otherwise you could build a larger army too early which does not sound fun in terms of progression.
Edit:
I don’t remember how it was in HVI as well. HVI did not support SLI video cards. Graphics was so clumsy, I quit playing. When I bought a new single core card, HVI was already dead, so I didn’t feel the urge to play it ever again, lol.
