That's why I said I didn't like the possible choices in general. After some initial enthusiasm (some new unit ideas) I found that those line-ups were not to my liking. Each choice was lacking, the combination of units sucked, because whatever the choice, some of them units I was most interested in would be left out at the end.
But it's my personal opinion, there are people who like more "humanoid" factions. I find them boring, I like more creature variety (the more claws, tails, wings, tentacles etc the better  ).
Suggesting a Cthulhu Mythos/Far Realm faction, are you ?

H.P.Lovecraft and M.Moorcock are 2 of my favorite authors (the 3rd one is G.Masterton but that's irrelevant lol). Take anything from their writings, adjust it to Heroes Lore and I'm buying it!!
Well, though not a fan, I like the idea behind Cthulhu Mythos (and some of the designs), but let's just leave them be. Though some people suggest strong Warhammer Universe influence in Ubi-era's Heroes design, I would rather like for the game to have it's own style. And by "tentacles" etc I was referring to more "traditional" critters like Krakens, Unicorns, Sphinxes, Lizard-man and other...
PS: Thinking back, Brood Mother from H6 is as "Lovecraf-tish" as one can possibly be
Imagine a whole faction of Brood Mothers.
When will they update the site ? I want to see Stronghold line-up.

With all due respect, Heroes finally should go back and focus on its own special style. Basing graphic style and factions on other games/franchises is a terrible idea. We've already got Warhammer and Warcraft cross-over called - Heroes 5. This game could be more than great, but influence of other "COOL" worlds make it fake for me. When I want to play game full of sinister and sexy dark elves I play Warhemmer, when I want to play a little bit more unserious fantasy I play Warcraft... So, Heroes shouldn't copy ideas from other universes. Not anymore.

I'm not convinced by having another vote now (they may delay in order to implement the promised change(s?) to the vote system, but I hope for full Academy Faction Theme

I'm curious about what creatures they have in mind for summoning, elementals plus ...? It would be cool if summons could get upgrades too. If the skill system is going back to the wheel/tree/skill-combo route, I hope to see the phoenix there and its upgrade.
Would it look like a pulsating and glowing "star bird" in flames? Would it look more abstract? More traditional?

I'm pretty sure at LEAST Treants are an adaptation of Tolkien's ents, which weren't so much drawn upon from myth as they were a response to his disappointment when he saw Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and was disappointed when Birnam Wood did not actually come to Dunsinane.
Actually, in my mock-up personal universe that I'm working on, I'm using "Birnam" as one of the variations of the Dendroid/Treant.

The Dendroids (not treants ) in HoMM 3 may have been inspired by the Ents but they more resembled Huorns in appearance. Still Tolkien tho.

With regards to the Phoenix, I must correct myself and say that it's not a summon spell in MMX - Legacy. I took some people for their word but found out for myself that it isn't true.

IMHO golem is pretty nice and Cabir but Gargolye have a strange tail for me. What you expect in nearby article's for Academy and Stronghold?
P.S I have question to Marzhin or Kimmundi; Do you have plans in comminnig 2015 to meet with fans on M&M Days like previous years? I mean Warsaw and Paris.
