Arugaf said: Well, I've already gave a link to the original video.
I went to hahakocka's channel but didn't find them. And I went for the original but it's from China and it loaded very slowly. Today I waited some minutes for it to load and I must say that they both sound great. Thanks for the link.
@Jeremiah, interesting line-up. It is maybe a bit too magic oriented? It fits the faction, but you have 3 units, Cabir, Disciple and Jackal, that can cast spells and they get magic support from Golems and Sphinx. Not to mention that with the Colossus you'd have 4 range creatures. But I like the concepts of Jackal and Sphinx, and considering that Academy is a desert faction I think that the egyptian theme fits better than with Necropolis.
Anyway, we already know what the Academy line-up brings so there's no reason to start imagining things Frankly, I'm pleased with what creatures we got, except the Magic Bird but maybe it can be a relevant creature... Nevertheless I appreciate your thoughts on the matter.
thank you Stevie.
Technically, that's 2 regular range units (Disciples and Titans)
The Cabirs are somewhat unreliable since they have a low chance of hitting but does big aoe damage if they hit.
The Jackals require mana to attack. Probably 2 or 3 eldritch arrows, depending on the balance. When they run out of mana, they have to sit idle and be useless for a turn or 2. Of course, Sphinx speed up their mana regeneration but you'd miss the powerful Titans if you choose them.

I fully agree on the first track. It made me think of HII from the beginning.
The second track is very good as well. Feels very heavy and oppressing, just a shame the file-quality of the given tracks isn't something to write home about. No doubt they will be awesome in-game.

It does indeed sound a lot better.
Just a shame about the buffering problems I'm experiencing and the shouty Asian commercials which realy ruin the mood.

I have this feeling that the Heroes VII music I've heard so far is much more engaging and fantasy themed compared to the Heroes VI one. It really reminds me of the music in Heroes III.
I got this great sentiment now, this might be the Heroes that we've been waiting for all these years.

Done with 305 pages of caching up.
So to start up a shame that Dwarves Fortress from H5 didn't make it in the vanilla launch, I think from the artwork (the compendium at least) that they were on a good path with the fell and design and also they deserve another chance, for me just feels a wasted opportunity and didn't see them in H6 plus I dislike elf’s (don't hate just personal preference).
Dungeon same I really dislike elves never was a fan of them but if that is what the majority wanted, just please lets leave Relagh out of it it's been in 2 games and made me dislike him as a character more with each scene or dialogue he's been a part of and also the only boring information we could possibly find out is how he becomes a demon by the time of H5...
Kind of glad I wasn't around with the whole voting and cheating/drama of getting or note there favourite units in there line-up, from reading through it looked a pain in the a...
But I have a suggestion since it looks like there is in place a mechanic of choosing a building over another that would allow access to a type of champion over another, as I understand from the information found on site for the vanilla H7, Ubisoft could do a/more DLC/'s in which gives access to the different sub faction by allowing one building to be erected instead of another on (like H5 toe but more similar to H4 were it would kill of the other one), there for giving alternatives for different line-ups, and in the process giving back Unicorns/Lurkers etc to fans, plus it would give more meaning for a whole building/destroying mechanism that is in place(hope I remember right it's been mentioned somewhere). I am suggesting this because it could be done after the release of the vanilla and there for wouldn't take time out of the completion of the game.
Random skill system well I think they could both coexist by giving an option before the start of the map if you want a random skill generator (similar to the H5 system where is tailored for each race) or a system like H6 where you could choose which to take and in multi-player games, evidently you can only play with people that have the same option activated.
Now I must say I love that H7 comes with Academy out of the box the line up is good I don't have much to complain just I would have loved to see the Dervish present but I could become a possibility, later down the line, if they would implement a DLC like the one I mentioned above.
Also no drama for me over the lose of the griffin from the Haven line-up I like dire wolfs.
To close up I hope we will get all the possible factions and sub-factions in future expansions for the game, but Ubisoft should really pick up there “game” and deliver a good stable product in the first place.

Certainly, expectations are sky high. I thinkvthat people from Limbic and Ubisoft know that this game is to be or not to be for the whole Might & Mahic franchise and if gamers' desires aren't fulfilled, we would probably have to say "bye bye" for at least 10 years, until someone will decide to revive the franchise.

This game was going swimmingly and then I just read that the Golem upgrade is made out of Sandstone. Sandstone!?
I mean come on! It's not the softest material, sure. But after materials Iron, Steal, Gold, Diamond, Obsidian (which is also somehow magnetic), we are down to a basic common sedimentary rock?
And what does that mean the regular Golem is made out of? Clay? That would just be silly.
No I think if we are going to go for rocks, then make it Serpentinite then we could give it an Asbestos poising attack!

Try thinking about it as a material very easy to transform so the Golem can adjust their structure. A sort of a quicksand body.

I think that this quote is a good response to your opinion:
LizardWarrior said: If we start like this we will only have Haven as a playable faction
We have to remember that golems are produced extensively, so they require a common and cheap material. Academy is on a desrt, so sandstone (which is also probably buffed by some kind of magic) is a proper material. Besides, this a sandstone, not sand, so it is quite stable and it won't be destroyed just like that.

Where did they said that?
if it's about the Academy update, it should come after Wizards' Armies pt3 article and, maybe, Academy Faction Theme. During the next two weeks is my guess.
Edit: nevermind, that comes from the cheating issue, and the update'd be hiding the percentages. This week a new vote, maybe?

Well I guess that might be what they meant with it. It just seems like when they said ''the eagerly update for the site'' I thought they meant like levels for your accounts and making more links clickable and stuff. But they might have been meaning that next vote they will be hiding the percentage.

Regarding the "hidden %" update, I think it's live already, but we don't have an ongoing vote for the moment.
We are however preparing the next big update which should be released pretty soon, we are working on it. Gonna be awesome!
