Oh God Almighty, I hope this means a lot less green and purple, and not just "a little bit". I'm positive, for now...
they show haven as example, and i think haven is a bit mono-color coded. reds reds reds... not annoying like h6 line-ups, but still..
...i dont know, this example comfused me.

One thing I'd like to know. When they say map editor, does it include campaign editor? Is it even planned?

Thing is, it's not PURE monocolour. Brown dire wolves to black silverbacks. Brown chaplains to white abbots. Silver seraphim to gold celestials.
Now compare that with previous games, where ALL Haven units turned gold, ALL Inferno turned red, etc.
It might seem like only a small improvement, but hey, it's still an improvement.

Lol I didn't notice that the chaplains were white, since the artwork depicts them in red
Also I have to say that haven always was a bit monochromatic,in H2 almost all creatures(except for peasants) were red in their base form and blue in their upgraded ones,in H3 almost all of them had a mix of white and blue,in H4 they had a lot of purple on them and in H5 they almost all went from blue/grey to silver/gold or to red in their alternate upgrades.

I am sorry, but these look terrible
That is only my opinion tho, and ofc everyone has a diferent one. This may be good for anime game or some sort of asian mmo-grinder, but when I think HoMM, this sort of thing is the last that comes on my mind.
H6 had good enough opening cutscene imo. It wasn't exactly Starcraft 2 quality, but then again .... Heroes is not Starcraft

I'd give Haven a pass, they're supposed to be in uniform.

I say Haven is the faction/Town that can be monochromatic - after all, they are a bunch of humans belonging to an army, with uniforms and the like. I don't mind seeing most of their line-up with the same colours.
But that's Haven. One faction. Heroes VI Neon-colour Necropolis or 50 Shades of Purple Dungeon simply have no excuse

Well, I have nothing against anime style in Heroes game, but anyway, this doesn't matter that much. I find these cutscenes excellent because of smoothness of animation, style of drawings matching the game and, most importantly, great voice acting, a thing with which Ubisoft Heroes games struggled (especially in Heroes VI).

yeah, but damn it was funny. i would love to return to h5 writing and voice-actors if we can't get something stellar. i mean hilariously bad and cheesy would for me be more welcome than h6 level of mediocrity. Just thinking of the frequent, uncaring shouts of "GRIFFIN ETERNAL!" makes me chuckle.

Voice acting is indeed something that needs to improve imo. And not just coz of cutscens. Voice acting is present through the entire campaign, even when you are playing! It is indeed one of the elements which drives me away from doing campaign.
Oh and I did first few missions of H5 ... think I stoped at 4'th or 5'th one .... can't remember. And I didn't laugh. Even once

In Heroes V it was at least that bad that it was good (especially Isabel with her exageratted emotions). In Heroes VI it was just sad.
