Good eye! The red resource being a cheap recolour of the gold icon is lame
Pretty sure all the icons were cheap recolours of the gold icon when they were first revealed. I'm guessing that part of the WIP bit is "we're still working on the new icons".
Indeed they still think what dragonsteel should look like.

As they should be. However, they should be around 2 metres tall at least. Maybe a bit taller than a crusher.

That is Copper ... or even Bronze, since it's in bars ... yep it's Bronze - my theory, that bronze is rare and gold is plentiful in Ashan is true
Oh and btw ... I think mini Ashan trivia is in order to explain this ... You can very well call it Ashan trivia IV:
You see, these resources are not "new", They are in fact the same mercury, gems, crystal as always, and in adition to that bronze has been added as replacement for Sulfur. Why sulfur has been removed? Who knows. Bronze is better. The names for these resources are diferent, because of translation from Ashan to English . Ofc these are all our (english) names, for them and Ashanians call them diferent. This is why bronze will not be called bronze in game .
Gold is called gold because of ease of use but also because it is clear what it is. Same with Wood and ore. For other resources it's not so clear. It is not known for eg. which crystal does that crystalline solid refer to. Is it quartz? Who knows. So it's simply called crystal. Also because Ashan names for these are very long and tedious to pronounce and translate.
Why rename mercury, even if it's clear it's mercury (it's icon right next to gold, represented in solid state)? because these neames are in line as to how Ashanians call Mercury - It's Ashan name for mercury.
Now ... I belive Erwan himself would be impresed by my explanation

Aha! thanks for link. Semms I was a bit wrong ... or was I. Dragonsteel is name Ashanians give for Bronze It's a logical name if you think about it.
Here is what I feel I must add to trivia:
- Dragonsteel = Bronze
- Dragonblood crystal = Crystal (surprise)
- Starsilver = Mercury (also logical name)
- Shadowseel = Gems (name gems didn't fit for material, but it's the same stuff as before)
And there you go.

I simply must add this.
Battlefield town looks more like a town than townscreen's town. At least it got some civilian buildings.
But overall, good screenshots. Creatures will be resized I think.

Well, mercury also is produced in process requiring series of chemical extractions, so it isn't also as "prime" as other resources present in previous Heroes games. That's the reason why its "mine" was Alchemist's lab.

I've always dreamed about seeing phalanx formations when it comes to heaven. Praeotorians locking shields together and putting spears btw gaps. Would work only for one row, but hey could be an awesome mechanic.
And crossbowmen raining bolts behind them

I must say that I really like the look of this game. The fact that the objects are out of scale is reminiscent of the 2D games, although the Rakshasa looks really small compared to the other creatures on both the adventure map and the combat map. It also looks like they've worked on the town screen. The colouring is better now than before, and some of the buildings have changed shape. Just compare this new version to the old version. I'd say it looks better than before, although I still prefer the edits by Lawmaker and Galaad. The presence of the UI makes it feel more 'crowded'.

Wow, the townscreen with more toned colours looks so much better than the previous shiny one. It truly means that townscreens and other assets like battlefields are "work in progres" and with a little bit more work they will be great.

One thing I think they got right in the Combat map is the atmosphere. It really feels like a general improvement compared to Heroes 6. Now if they would only adjust the sizes of the creature models so that they're bigger and more visible, and intuitive like Rakshasas being bigger than Cabirs, lol.

The changes to Haven's Townscreen are welcomed, they may not be extraordinary but it's an improvement nonetheless.
