That's not what I meant, though thanks for sharing this info.
The real majority are those who don't care at all. 100 upvotes from the whole people on the blog? Really? That's not a majority.
It's like politics. There're those who support the current government, and those who don't. But the majority doesn't care at all and don't have their opinion. We just have a bunch of very active members (let's call them opposition), some of which think that they represent "the community", though they just represent their own opinions, nothing more. Yes, they managed with some very simple tricks to gain some followers, but not so many to really impress me. And let's not forget that anti-spider movement, for instance, rose with anti-model reusing movement which was really strong. I doubt that it would have even 50-60 vocal supporters on it own.
About votings. I doubt that those 10-15 (I may overcount them) active vocal members supported Fury, for instance. Do you remember how unpopular it was with some of those members we all know?
+ what Alci said.
P.S.: that's just my opinion, nothing more.

edit: by the way, I'm sharing this video with the rest of the team. I even think in homage to this video we will put some more spiders in the game...
Seriously though, that was fun. Good job
Thank you, Marzhin! I knew, you guys have some self-irony

About the video. Once again: my aim wasn't to promote my anti-spiders idea, but to show in an irony way publisher-developers, developers/publisher-community relations.
Though, I'm a strong anti-spider participant but we discussed everything long time ago and we've got some clear picture for future. So I will deal with that. I accept that someone can really accept this concept of Necropolis for some reasons but to my mind the majority has shown its opinion. I think it's time to put these things aside. The video is just a joke and nithing more. Of course I've made it pushing through a prism of my vision. That's why there's a spider-focus.

@Sandro400,
Those who don't care don't count, because they don't care - their opinion is void.
But from the ones who do care as much as to express their opinion, the majority undoubtedly hates Spiderpolis. And up-voting is very relevant in that direction.

There is always a solution for everything. In this case, i guess since the spider is not going anywhere (and i really don;t mind the spider. It fits the lore) we can push for extra creature per tier in the expansion. That way, if you have to choose between Skeleton, Spider, Ghost or let's say Ghoul, you just choose Ghoul, Ghost and Skeleton and you're done with it.
Same goes with the elite. You don't like Lamasu? Fine, choose between Vampire, Lich, Mummy and Lamasu.
Though I do want the return of the Fate Spinners. Spider Lore or not, having an Avatar of Death that also controls the fate is awesome. After all, Necropolis in its darkest side is all about controlling what happens to ones death and if he will be lucky enough to go further or enslaved in a rotting body.

"Harbingers of death, embodiments of doom"
Being at first Vampire Lords does not deny them the statues of Wraiths. It is said after all that they became so attuned with death that nothing is under the hood anymore.
I don't mind that explanation. And i don't mind the basic form being very very old Vampires that become Wraiths. That also explains why the wraiths are stronger than both Vampires and Liches in Heroes V.

So basically, vampires are vampires, liches are vampires, Grim Reapers are vampires. I guess, wraiths are vampires, too. I guess that skeletons can become vampires if they are bathed in Namtaru Venom, and I guess those spiders are vampire-spiders. I like the lore of Ashan

But Vampires are so 2010's. Now, what Ashan needs, is a tiny bit of BDSM, so that the lore doesn't become outdated.

What with 50 shades and things, it's more 2012. But there's the movie , so it's still kinda current.

Let's go like this.
A Necromancer is any person that wants to experiment with the arts of raising dead and gain control over death. He is a living being.
A living Necromancer that got high ranking and wishes to have eternal life drinks an elixir with hints of the Spider poison that can extent his life but his body keeps aging. That way he is called a Lich from now on. He can also turn out to look like mummies. So we can assume that the Hero shown on Necropolis Page is a very old Lich, while the unit lich is a new one. When the natural time of death occurs to Liches, they can gain the title of Archlich.
Before the point of Archlich, the Liches may be considered as still living (but not entirely)
To become a Vampire, you must die. You must experience death and be embraced by the Goddess herself that will return your soul back to your body to be reborn. Their blood becomes the poison of the Goddess and to keep on living they must feed on the blood of the living to thin it down. This ritual can be performed by all, but only Necromancers and Liches have good chances to become a true Vampire. The others, having their soul forcibly returned to their bodies can be forever scarred turning into something vicious and primal (Nosferatu hint?).
The Vampire Knight is an old, very old Vampire that has lived and experienced all that life has to offer. That way he is gifted in both Prime-Time magic, war and diplomacy. The Poison in his bodies run strong still, making them even better attuned to Death and the Goddess.
Grim Riders are of the oldest Vampires. So old and so attuned to death that they have no more need for a body. Their physical manifestation unneeded, they can be seen as a higher form of Death entities, Wraiths. When a Vampire is still attached to his body while not really in need of it, they are called Vampire Lords, as no other entity can truly match up to them

But the secret room of Mr Grey was red, not purple. Moreover, the Dungeon in Heroes VI utilized only a few shades of purple, not 50...
