I just tried that free Might and Magic online web browser game. For a web browser game its amazingly nice looking and bugless ( so far ). Then I met a guy that dueled me. I was like OK! With my army of 150 marksmen. Guess what ? He was an undead mage and he had a complete, 6 square army of liches and shot me to death.

I think this is a rather exact description also. They look good, but look more like a H3 HD artwork than a H7 artwork imo.

Yeah, that's why we have 3 maps set in Old Universe in H6, Jassad in Legacy and all those "classic Legacy" heroes...

@Kobalt: Not only it is great recreation of H3 fortres, your pictures show also that with proper artists, it can fit Ashan and still look good. That's simply amazing.

I appreciate the support and the constructive "criticism". As I stated before, my goal with these concepts is to bring back the faction, not reinvent it. The units done so far don't belong to any race in terms of Ashan lore (except for the gnoll but I explained my thoughts on that in the picture's description and if there are further doubts pls ask me). I reworked the original concepts so they would fit in the new game. This brings me with a question for you guys though: Seeing as both Wyverns and Hydras do belong to an Ashan faction, what other creatures do you think would fit better in a Swamp line-up?
PS: This is not my day job so I do this in my free time. I'll keep 'em coming none the less.

Wyverns are not confirmed yet. 
I guess you have multiple choices, personally I could see some big carnivorous plant to replace Hydra and maybe Mantis instead of Wyvern. But I really love the H3 Wyverns.
There are also a few swamp factions made in the Altar of Wishes you can seek for inspiration.

I would go for giant human-frog-like mage thing ... but lizzardmen from Warhammer already have that so...
Giant human-eating plant would fit I think ... It may sound ridiculous but it's kinda classic monster in fantasy. Problem is most of plants don't move tho. It would need to have a great special ability or something.
Also a dinosaur. I know, most are not fans of this, but I think lizzardmen riding dinosaurs could be pretty awsome. We got raptor rider in H5 dungeon, so I don't see problem in becoming swamp faction's elite unit.
So many concepts of other creatures have already been taken by other factions.

well, the very fact that you can distinguish between an "old universe" with Enroth and a "new universe" with Ashan is you agreeing with me that Enroth does not exist in their canon lol

Of course Ashan has no connection to NWC universe, They are two different universes not just different planets in same universe.
It would be awkward if there is connection in fact...

NOW it would be could seem awkward. But if Ashan has taken into consideration the previous universe at the time of its creation, it would have avoided ten years of frustration towards most dedicated players. I am saying this again: let the Void win, start over, now that the Team has Marzhin on its side, I don't see how it couldn't be better than what we currently have.
