I think the artists need to spend an entire weekend in a dark room redrawing this guy 100 times:
Then when they are (hopefully) sick of spikes, they can return to their offices

Less fanatical than the other members of the Spider Cult, they act defensively in battle, and wear down their foes with infinite patience.
They are my favourites already.
It seem Ubi has more and more trouble coming up with new names. How is enbalming a "heroic" skill. And Archon is basically a fancy way of saying Lord.
Visuals are OK, not as horrid as the might heroes but nothing special. What are the spikes on the female model actually useful for?
If it weren't for the skulls and the spiderlegs, they could easily be Dungeon heroes as well. But those will probably end up as strippers so nvm...

You might want to switch on the lights to actually achieve the "getting sick of drawing something" -effect

Thats because young Tormentors get calcium from their milk products to help them grow up into big and strong Lacerators with healthy bones.

female one definitely looks like several times better than the male one. some of it from her actually looking different from her might counterpart. that and the back-spikes look kinda cool. rest of the spikes don't though. Oh, and the long dress is very fitting, making her way more "shadowy" than her male counterpart. pretty sure that dress wouldn't look too bad on him either i might add.

nope, only notable diference between male and female is skirt size ... nothing more realy.
Again, like with might heroes. Considering H6 and previous unit design, the art news are so unsurprising, that I actualy feel like I've seen them before. It's like it's not even news at this point. If someone would ask me how would I picture Necro heroes 1 week ago, I would immagine prety much this.

I finally see some skulls. Spikes again, so no news there. Female has some boob grabbers, looks pretty matriarchal. Male seems.. okay-ish.
Better than the Might ones at the very least.

well, looking at the bottom part, female is lacking a lot of the extra detailing: the male has like the six (6!) giant chains making him much more busy. The spikes on her back makes somewhat of a frame which in turn makes her seem much bigger and imposing/threatening. oh, and she only has two extra spikes beyond that on her wrists (one on each). there are differences between them and they're all positive for the female one. all she needs to improve is losing the wrist-spikes, toning down detailing on the torso and reducing staff-size. The male needs to pretty much trim down everything

So Ebon Knight and Necromancer have exactly the same main skills: Necromancy, Offense and Dark Magic.
I'm getting more and more curious what do the main skills mean? Starting skills? Your hero is able develop only these three skills to Master level? What?

Ok ok, so the staff is not too big for my taste, but call me old fascioned but the other end of a staff is not supposed to have any decor or magic, as it belongs to the ground.

My opinion is that they are one of the two:
1. Starting skills: yes they are same for both of them, but i think the actual skill tree will be significantly different depending on might/magic orientation. Same main skills, but they have different abilities in their branches. There even might be some abilities that are available for both but they appear in different parts or levels of the skill tree branches.
2. They are not starting skills (or maybe you get to choose one of them to start with) but your hero get some extra bonus added to the skill depending on hero level. But this only activates when after you actually obtain the skill in question. This seems feels pretty unlikely game mechanic, but it would "free more skill slots" if they werent chosen for you by default.
Anyways... i dont think the main skills are the only ones that you can develop to master level. That would severely limit the tactical options and sort of predetermine your skill choices. This would result in having almost similar heroes in very game...
( Also, you have a pretty cool avatar picture! )

Wonder why they always have to have staves? I would see it better with books or even orbs of any kind, shrunken heads, voodoo dolls, cursed hourglasses, or nothing - since they love making things glowing, nothing better than hands glowing.

I'm afraid I have to disagree. A staff can become a deadly weapon by itself when swinging (both ends can/should be lethal).
Moreover, the bottom end can be usefull in order to cast an - let's say - area spell by forcing it towards the ground.
For example:

Avonu may have sounded like he was joking but his fellow from Acid Cave, Acid Dragon, has substantially changed his opinion about M&M games from Ubisoft after meeting with Erwan and becoming an insider.
