im kinda surprised by the vibe he gives, I would have thought that he would look more African or Arabian but that reminds me more of the H5 Orcs (the Slayer unit, as shown in Eugenes link)

As a whitespear, and most likely the descendant of Kraal, Kente could trace his roots back to Pao islands. But centuries in the north near Ranaar borders have made their mark. Just like on anybody living his life in a certain environment.

is a very early build so even if these things will be in they are most likely not implemented at this time. at this stage just the basic stuff is in so don't expect any details.

Early build was last year, but now? We are what, like 6-8 months away from the release of the game?
Some parts of the game are most likely already set on stone, just like it happened during H6

just got to alpha a couple of weeks ago i believe they said? either way, much is set in stone but probably no incorporated in the build at the event.

oh i'm staying as far away from launch as i can. can't trust those ubi-folks with release stability after all. ain't a chance in hell that game will be playable enough.

It could happen. Although H6 was postponed three times and still was a buggy release 
What is more important is Limbic continuing working on the game. Even if some stuff can't be changed for the release version, at least have a chance to make changes with the potential expansion(s).
H6 cycling through 3 different devs was a train wreck, doomed to fail.

i dont think that sim turns is sth you can just add and they haven't announced sim turns so far which foretells that there won't such a feature (i'm almost certain about it).
Here's a thought: many of you stress the importance of map generator and "modability" but i really think that times have changed and today, modern games strive to establish longevity through good multiplayer mode. I'd even say that H7, as a niche game, won't enjoy so much community-created content (maps&mods) as the previous installments (i'm referring to H3 & 5).

How is it that from what I've seen the adventure map and majority of the units look amazing, but the town screens look so plastic and soulless. It's like they're straight from some facebook game.
Even the hero portraits are such garbage. The ones in say H3&4 were drawn infinitely better. Now they're basically half-assed speedpaints of celebrities.
The gameplay decisions seem very uninspired as well. All in all just a slight improvement from H6. Definitely not hyped for this game because knowing ubisoft it's probably going to be another huge farce like Heroes 6 and Duel of Champions.

Did trip to UBI HQ impresed you that much? I think it must've ... so I expect some great news in near future ... at least it's a hint that some great stuff is hiding behind that NDA.
And remember Stevie ... the day after tomorow is Monday agian 
EDIT: He was probably paid to stay stilet I belive hehehe ... or maybe even offered a free copy, which would mean he'll get it at release anyway ... which is good and bad at same time
