Speaking of size, is there a screenshot showing them in game? I don't understand why all the comments about pixies being big.

^A video a few pages ago. They are like ghost big.
------
The pixies/fairies have always meant to be tinkerbell tiny (thats why the had the no retaliation thing) but if they scaled them accordingly in the map your complaints of "i only see pixels" would become literal.
I think the green dragon upd is gonna look more like Sylanna to avoid the black dragon situation (Upg didnt look related to Malassa)

The Hunter is really great, the best core for me
The dryad is quite nice, the good thing it doesn't look like the concept provided during line-up votes, maybe the upgrade could be more distinguish than not upgraded dryad
The Pixie, for me the leafy pixie was better, mediocre
The pixie and dryad are too similar creatures overall, I wish it could be something else other than one of them also with female druid and the moon bambi the faction might be like somebody on SC said, too girly
The leafy pixie kinda looked like an alien though:/ but it would be just as nice i guess.
Now now it's a nature and peace loving faction. What did we expect, terminator? And why having 3 female units (out of 8) is considered girly? Lets not do this again:/ might awaken old spirits...dangerous spirits..spirits long gone...spiritis we haven't seen in the forum for quite some time..

Hmm that could be an explanation that could do about unit sizes.. I kind of agree

An alien ? Did you really see the movie ?
Peace loving faction, ook, but a female elf on pegasus is better than a pixie And a dryad in the same line-up, you can't deny that proposed emerald warrior would be less girly than pixie when both are females
I prefer female creature that make sense, like justicar I mean one would be ok, but both in core feel redundant

Steyn said: Yay, finally the Sylvan reveal!
The hunter and pixie look really nice, dryad not so much though. I fear for a retextured H6 darkness elemental with a H6 spring spirit/glory feel to it.
Edit:
I agree that the pixies are a bit big. But weren't H3/5 pixies also quite big? I think someone here once said that the unit size is not to scale, but more of a representation of the whole stack, just like the hero on the map is a representation of the whole army.
Well, yeah, I guess you are right. But in my ideal heroes game there would be much more differance in unit sizes and how many tiles they would use xD. I also thought that the Cabirs are too big. Somehow the pixies feel smaller in H5 Other than that it's a cool model, it's just I get the feeling they are taller than both the Dryad and the Hunter.
EDIT: Lol, did not think about it before, the Dryad's face looks really Swedish xD. Like a REALLY swedish woman xD Like, my former classmate looks exactly like that.

You do understand we are talking about a fantasy setting and a magical creature right? Must it have smth pointy to cause damage? Use your imagination a little more.
Sounds like you have something pointy stuck up somewhere it shouldn't be
And yes, I trouble using my imagination to make sense of this forest critter in my fantasy game lol

Ah, thank you.
The game must be doing the similar way of H1, I guess, when all units where similar in size. They must only make exceptions for large units, whilst all normal sized ones have similar sizes.

Have you zoomed in on the artwork? They still look quite alien-like. Also, except for all the flowery stuff, they are pretty androgynous. Actually, without the flowers I rather would have described them as male than as female.

I also prefer the unit models to better represent scale and would've liked the cabir and pixies to be bigger. Alas, it is not to be, but if I keep in mind that they are only stack representations it is not cringe-worthy to look at

I didn't mean that alien i meant the short green people with the huge eyes and no mouth!!
A dryad and a pixie make sense being female because there are no male ones!! Lets not overanalyze here because there are two female looking creatures in core. And should gender be an issue? I'd worry more for two shooters in core,or two casters,or two no-retaliation units. It doesnt affect gameplay and the feel is quite alright in my eyes. Girls and peace yo

Whoah whoah!hold up!! That's your response and logical argument when you are confronted? Like really????how old are you?
As you said it's your problem that you can't imagine smth that simple in fantasy game. Keep it to yourself or be less rude,ok?
A forest creature in a forest based faction makes sense. That simple. It sure has more debth and imagination than a near scratching the opponent.

I think the Dryad will be an off-tank support of some sort.
I'm a little weirded out by the Pixie design. I get that the designers were trying to go for the leaf/flower motif, but it would've been more interesting if the Sprite had a different colour set. If she's supposed to be a representative of the seasons, why not alter her colours to make her look more springy? Also, the flower/leaf body didn't need to be in the shape of a gown, did it?
I love the Dryad personally, but again, the Oak Dryad could've gotten more to make it more distinguishable to its unupgraded form.
Regardless, cant wait for the rest of the reveal. It's been almost a decade since Sylvan got an appearance in a Heroes game and I welcome it with open arms.
