I thought that i would share it. Not much but some changes to the weirdly proportioned limbs and then i fixed the head position and the drunken eyes and added the mask and so on...

EDIT: I also think that Dancer (35) as a damage dealer also has too low HP in comparison to Guardian (45). Hopefully, these stats are not final.
this creature damage type have any impact? or its just fluff?

the out of left field transformation of them into a main race and association with water are other factors too I think, like the Erwin Necropolis just very blatantly "inspired" by Warcraft overall lol

^This.
Even though Oliver Ledroit's design obviously do differ from Blizzard's a little, you can't deny that the concept was plagiarized from WC/WoW. Ubi-wan couldn't resist the temptation to once again smash a traditional theme-based HoMM town and replace its content with a race imported from generic fantasy series.
NWC did get their inspiration from other sources as well, in particular D&D.
The H3 Dendroid could very well be influenced by Warhammer and the H2 art style is very reminiscent of that of Larry Elmore.
I guess it's a matter of how tasteful things are done

NWC actually hired masters like Larry Elmore and Boris Vallejo to define the art style of their games, instead of just cloning the latest trends of younger franchises lol

Yes, yes, yes, we know... Everything was better while NWC was making Heroes. Now everything sucks and UBI made every possible mistake... yadda, yadda, yadda... Same old usual Verriker's post... nothing remotely interesting or constructive.... moving on...

Indeed! H6 and H7, have the best visuals from any other heroes game(graphics aside, since it's 2015). even if the game turns out H6.2,it's still an eye candy.
Being a fan since heroes 2, i love that the game evolved and gained new fans because of that, appealing to their taste too. I still can't believe there are persons who are fans but haven't played H3!!!!But thank goodness the franchise still survives because of new and potentially new fans. Going all '2010 trends' in our faces! Else we wouldn',t be here talking about it...
There is the gameplay hiccup that came along with "evolution" tho,but that's for another thread.

Guys guys relax.there is the middle ground too. Ubi is not the best ,yet ubi is not the worst thing ever happened in anyone's life.
Just a reminder, no one would take a franchise, with outdated aesthetics,as hell(yes it's true. Even if you can't see it,use math please), a limited fanbase and the now unpopular turn based gameplay and attempt to market it. No one!!
Only ubi ,for some reason, saw a potential to the franchise and tried to make it marketable and 2008-2015 friendly. That they did.It worked, else there wouldn't be any heroes now. Marketed at the cost of some gameplay atrributes too.(see what happpenes to final fanatasy's turn based batttlr system in final fantasy xiii and onward). And that was not cool. We loved the game for the play style first.
Verriker, galad we know you don't like what ubi did to the game. If you think that the game suffers a worse fate than ending in heroes 4,then so be it. Feel free to bash. But dudes show some open-mindness! I still can't wrap my head around the fact that you don't like anything about the aesthetics! They are so beautiful!!some times it seems hating for the sake of hating and nothing more, even when valid reasoning is veing given to you..and when that happens the trolling begins like, funny videos... Yet someone calls out on you and then you gang up and make him/her disappear!! Seriously no one can win against such behaviours!!

Two of you have unlimited pool of time and hate for UBI, don't you lol
no problem man here it is, the pretty beautiful original he did for Might and Magic 6, click for a bigger one, I think there is an even higher resolution one out there too lol

Obviously things like elves, dwarves, orcs, faeries etc are derived from something - to a large part from Tolkien and from folklore as well as DnD, which is the mother of fantasy games. The question is: if you do take inspiration from somewhere else, do you do something original out of it (like Nagas and Genies in a snowy wizard country), or do you simply copy paste things from generic fantasy franchises? NWC did the former, Ubi-Wan does the later.
Sometimes I think Ubi-Wan strives to think like they believe very very young customers who want to get their stereotypes confirmed do. Like: "zomg wuz this, the game has other factions than the knights in shiny armour, tree-hugging elves and engineering beer-drinking dwarves, noo my head is going to explode because I can't think outside the box!"
Young people aren't categorically stupid. Who would bother to read a book when already knowing what to expect from its content?

Yeah deers can be pretty fierce when the safety of their fawns is in question :/ Normally they are nice and calm forest dwellers like any other, but if you threaten their family they become very protective. Kinda like a moose or a bear or Liam Neeson

Yeah that's beautiful. But it looks outadated! Knights today are not pictured like this! It's not "in" anymore. All knight games don't have that style. Or tunics like that. Or even hairstyles. I see this picture and it feels likenI'm in the 90s. And while I,as a 29 year old, can appreciate that, unfortunately now, way younger people have the power and this is smth no young person would ever go for. Ubi tried to make the game marketable. And it worked!, new fans hooray!
Now if there is a problem with today's trends and buyers and marketing, well blame it on time, not ubi.. Ubi is responsible for other atrocities and they all have to do with gameplay mostly.
