Exactly. I really can't believe Ubisoft and their developers actually have the audacity to just simply reuse that horrible Black Dragon design from H6. This is especially true considering that they were criticized so harshly for trying to get away with just copying and pasting the entire line up of Necropolis Elite creatures from Heroes 6. Haven't they learned their lesson yet? Do they even ever learn?
Moreover, I am still so shocked at the emerald dragon design, although it has been more than 12 hours since I first saw its design. I mean, what kind of creature is that? At least the green dragon partly resembles a "dragon". Emerald dragon just looks like some really weird creature that's beyond awful. Seriously, this must be by far the worst unit design I have ever seen among the entire Heroes series.

Everybody here complains about units being "overdone" but when the emerald dragon is simpler yet more solid, then "it's not enough"

Just put a paper bag on Emerald Dragon head and it will be looking OK.

This. An upgrade should look or convey the feeling of being majestic, deadly or both. This one doesn't particularly succeed and even looks worse at parts. It's like they tried to cover that up with light particles..

As I said,you just can't win...
But a lot of people has the problem that the emerald dragon IS overdone. Why does it have a bonsai instead a normal head ?

I wouldn't say overdone much... more like the head is made so wrong it makes it look like it does not hold even base intelligence.
Besides, where's our Acid Breath attack animation?

I was too lazy to read any of the previous posts, but is there something wrong with the black dragon?
I like it. A lot actually. He looks pretty monstrous and is black with orange/gold details. It doesnt have to be completely black. That would be boring like the shadow dragon in H5. The color details are nice and kinda remind me of H3.
Btw kiryu133, what faction did you vote to be in the new beta?

I would make that 2-3 times. Once for the H6 spectral dragon (which makes sense, it being an undead blacky), a second time for the H7 bone dragon an a probable third time for the H7 blacky.
I don't mind that much, as long as they improve the wings. I did not like that the H6 black dragon was basically glowing from the inside (imo the purple shadow dragon was much better in that regard), but the wings were what totally killed the design. Give it wings more akin to the classical dragon wings and I'll be happy enough.

Oh i see... i never really played H6 so it doesnt bother me 
Happy to hear that you voted for dungeon too. They are pretty awesome. Especially the troglodytes. I really hope they dont get ruined somewhere in the design process :/

The site is also quite slow for me...I had hoped they would have fixed it overnight. Unless it's a DDOS-attack labled "JEmopocalypse" after the Sylvan-reveal  .

When it comes to Emerald Dragon firstly the proportions are off. It looks much better on the concept art, slender yet hardy. I really like it's proportions on the drawing. It's 3D model has a face of a muppet (whilst on the drawing it resembles a reptilians), looks oafish and all those nice little details like plants hanging from him are hard to notice.
I don't ask much of the devs. Just make the units look close to their concept designs...

The Emerald Dragon is looking like a... Swamp Dragon right now. Why on earth upgraded dragon has wooden head while unupgraded has stone? I like Green Dragon really much, but it would be enough if they just replace emerald's wooden head with stone, give him Green Dragon's eyes not those bad looking emeralds (or maybe just make them shine similar to Green Dragon's) and maybe push head down a little like with Green Dragon, because that proud pose from artwork just didn't work out. It's so poor right now. If it would be Swamp Dragon then okay, but completely not Emerald Dragon.
