Come on, don't whine now for not getting Faceless. Honestly, I would also like to see Faceless, and I was really suprised when I saw them in only one line-up. But stop bashing Black Dragons now, when all of you wanted them badly in H VI. And honedtly I like them in VII. I am just sad for Manticores and Evil Eyes.  For me, perfect line-up would be:
1. Assassin
2. Evil Eye
3. Grim Rider
4. Manticore
5. Minotaur
6. Faceless
7. Hydra
7. Black Dragon

hey at least we get to see that dragon model at least one more time, and this time painted gold! Making the return of gold dragons anything but exciting...cause God forbid they put any kind of effort towards dragons.

Actually the evil eye (Shadow Lurker) will be attack warfare unit of the Dungeon faction and the faceless will be support warfare unit

Reading the sylvan page and unit abilities. I must give my Grammar-nazi award for worst written description to the following ability.

Well for better or for worse ashan is part oh HoMM now.and we must deal with it. What's more to understand? If ashan should never be a part of the framchise that's a whole other discussion that has nothing to do with the line ups since ashan is here to stay at least for heroes 7. So about that,we truly need a malassa inspired line up,since they changed dungeon.
For future heroes games we could scream our lungs out for a new universe or the old one. You'll see me rooting for minotaurs and manticores from the front line!!
But for this universe the sole existence of these creatures make my skin crawl with dissappointment.

Then we found the problem!! It's the name!!
Hmmm so when do we petition for lizardmen and dragonflies for foretress???
I think we are old enough to overlook just the name though..

I think we are old enough to overlook just the name though..
not the name alone, but the overall concept, whether it's the Warlocks' town, the minotaurs' town, the underground town, the town Kastore, Darkstorn, Lorelei and Sephinroth are put in, basically wherever most of these legacy elements meet is where the rest of the legacy naturally starts coming into play
that is developer agnostic I might add, personally I think what was done to this faction in Heroes 4 was a failure of a "Dungeon" and almost as big a travesty as the Heroes 5-7 dark elves, I really didn't like the Asylum lol

On the other side Verriker, you can not deny that the concept of " the dungeon" faction has changed a lot throughout the times. Maybe more then any other faction in the game. The changes between H1/H2 - H3 - H5 - H6 and H7, both in army structure and function inspiration, are rather major when compared with other factions.

Since we are on the subject, dwarves as Fortress killed me a little inside, it really was my favorite faction of all time. (I have played all games of the series since H2)
Everytime I think about H7, I wish a swamp faction could be resurrected and that devs would take example of what Minastir and Articun came up with for an Ashan-compatible swamp faction.
edit: I agree with the post below, Faceless and Dragons are perfect champions for Dungeon. Bring back Hydras to a swamp faction!

What exactly has the hydra to do with darkness ? If you want truly darkness faction then the combo should be faceless + dragon dont you think ? ..
