Some of these questions are answered in the article.
Others answers will be in a future article about modding.

From what I've heard, the plan's to let you do all that with modding.

That's sweet. Can't wait to play on unwinable maps again (it's part of the charm)

I can't find a list anywhere. Have you tried to see if it's available at ubishop in your country?
Or at the shop on the mmh7 website.
Quote: Please note that not all retailers are currently listed on the shop page. We will update the listing as soon as product pages are available. For instance, collector’s edition will be available on Russia through different retailers and in the US on Uplay Shop.

Thanks man!
Yeah, I saw this post about RU and US, but for my country on ubishop it only appears digital deluxe or standard.
Edit: too bad, I liked that customized tarot cards, artbook, soundtracks.
oh well, digital dexule it is then.

There's literally a shot showcasing tools to add heroes & artifacts, as well as the scripting tool. Those are confirmed.
Last time I checked, nothing definition didn't match with this.

What is not confirmed is how far modding goes. I am sorry if I am a bit skeptical with what is being advertised, if you remember well we were promised a h5-like skill system back in August.

I still believe that the Skillpizza is somewhat salvageable. If they'd only listen to what Elvin posted some time ago on the subject...

Yes that's an awesome post, another one of the many I shared down the dev blog. But the core philosophy of the skill system in h7 being thought and designed as a free picks one, meaning somehow an "improved h6 one", I am rather pessimistic on the issue. Level up of the hero is a big deal to me in Heroes and if the randomness/oriented randomness is being left out/not much considered because of class restrictions I fear I won't enjoy it.

Well, if skillpizza is moddable, the impact the vanilla has would be minimal. If you have the possibility to put your hands into the mechanics and optimize what devs did, then is a great game. Just look how poor look now Civ 4-5 and Skyrim without mods, almost unplayable.
Mods are not always meant to make the game better, but also fix important game-play issues the devs didn't have the time for.
For example, speeding animations, remove redundant screens, all those things that optimize your time spent on.

On a side note:
I received a mail from Uplay Shop, with the message that those who pre-ordered the Collector's Edition will receive an extra bonus: Heroes III HD Edition (digital version), which will become available for free on H7's release date.
I assume that this mail is not fake . Well, that means more content for my money, although I'm not really hyped for H3 HD...I much prefer the original one. I wouldn't spend my money on it, but now that it becomes a free bonus I'm going to try it anyway. Dutch people, eh? Mention "for free" and you'll get their attention.

Hey Marzhin.
I would really appreciate your opinions on snowball diplomacy effect... 15 years later and the problem remains the same, from what i ve heard of the beta.
I dislike the negociation because you should be able to hire a percent of the stack. As the community noticed, the snowball effect in the diplomacy skill is mostly banned on Heroes 3 and we dont want to see that again. Everyone knows here the main resources in Heroes Series is creatures, and diplomacy is not based on gold.
It s not a poor mathematical formula which can resume the developpement of an army (town and heroes).
I was never convinced about balanced so i would appreciate from you to give us more feedback in terms of numbers, it was great at the end of the beta to notice how many games have been played, and the rest. Balancing is a hard work : knowing the percentage of win rate per race from duel could help the community to react clever to your changes.

As a player, I like the diplomacy skill. For me it's an integral part of the game. It might be OP in some cases, but it contributes to the charm of Heroes.
Now as a mapmaker, I'm always careful to set up which neutral armies should be potentially affected by diplomacy and which should never be.

If Heroes 7 is multiplayer oriented then you leave diplomacy as it was/it is because you think it makes the heroes charm, then I am sorry to inform you that you are clueless what "multiplayer" is about
The fact is: diplomacy was always banned from MP because of potential gruesome luck based unbalance. So either create option: ban from MP or give it another form, with penalties confronting bonuses, so it can be for once discussed.

I believe H5 got it right, leaving Diplomacy as a perk of Leadership. It could probably been expanded a bit more with another related perk on a higher tier, but it is a good compromise between the OPness of the early games and banning it from game.

You know, Heroes was never multiplayer oriented. Surveys and studies conducted after H5 and H6 reveal that the large majority of Heroes players (and we're talking about more than 80% here) actually only play campaigns and scenario maps, and never even clicked on the MP button.
I'm definitely not a MP player myself.
