And they claimed they wanted to repair beta, not to let bugs ruin the "Heroes experience of the game". Sheesh.
Also, seems like the H7 site is down.
There is a difference between a beta build bugs and seriously game or experience breaking bugs. They were trying to remove the latter.
Anyway playing it right now. Haven't had anything horrible, only the end turn button has ignored me a few times, but the E key worked so no problems.
The dry grass plains or whatever that terrain is called, looks a bit too dull color-wise.
The gargoyle seriously need to learn to fly

Everything is so damn small, hero names, stack size, etc... Looks like I won't be doing much testing, my comp can barely run it at seriously gimped settings.
First impression? Not worth buying, not worth playing, soundtrack kicks butt.

For me on medium settings works good, but yes everything is really small
another thing noticed, after applaying artifact to hero it doesn't increases any of my stats
skill description: - "(...) are decreased by ?%" lol

So aparently ubishop still didnt process my 100 uplay points discount order (20% off coupon ordered 8 days ago) which in turn delays my preorder of heroes game :S, which in turn makes me unable to play the beta.
So, keep the impressions coming as I cannot do my own :S.

I'm significantly losing interest in playing any further. Even when the video settings are on low wherever they can, it still is a bit laggy. Also the widescreen issue really bothers me.
I mean, I started a map and haven't even so much left my own AoC yet because I'm too busy messing around and my hero quickly loses movement points .
It's not fun playing at this speed, but otherwise it looks good . I have quite a list of things already, so I'll categorize them a bit and post them later.

Wow played for about 3 hours and so far impressed overall..
Some things to say in no particular order..
Combats are bit too slow due to low damage. Flanking somewhat helps.
Speed option in the menu affects both combat and adventure maps at the same time. Also some units are immune to that effect
Music is gorgeous. Atmosphere is there. Ambience is just great.. Birds flying, little villages in the way, etc.
Flying creatures spin all the time when flying. Lol.
I played the Academy and all I can say - the faction is really thought out. Your constructs immune to a number of buffs, so this limits your options in the early game. More of a negative. But then I love the racial and synergy between the Pyramid and your army. When everything goes to the plan its just great feeling. The building tree is very complex with many excluding choices and really you must access the map to make some of the choices. Skill system feels really, really good. Levelling feels meaningful, and effects are immediate. So you employ new tactics right after acquiring new skills. The downside of the Academy is their "open to all schools of magic" theme. I decided to spec in Earth but could barely find any Earth spells in my guild at all! Selecting Earth focus did not help.
Disciples feel really powerful but hard to defend due to their large size.
Battlefields are large this time and it takes walkers multiple turns to cross, great!
Encountered some bugs, few crashes and few not yet ready spells - like I mentioned above - summon gold dragon scroll. Did summon something in the battle that had no model and did no damage.. Nice skills though!
Feels really good to have so many resources again and adventure spells and buildings. Still want more content though. By the way there are quick slots for spells so it's easy to maintain adventure map buffs.
Some UI problems are there, it's really confusing in some parts.
No gamma control in the options.
Elementals models are reused from Heroes 6, together with Griffins.
AI turns take long time on the large map, especially when you play against more than one.
Well these are my Initial impressions! Have fun everyone!

Moving on grass with a Haven hero takes 1 move point. Moving on a road takes 0.5 move points. And taking a resource costs 3 move points?! So when I'm on a road I can move further 5 tiles but I cannot take a resource that's exactly near me. I can even perform a 90 degrees turn around it but I can't touch it.
What.

After a while of playing it I can only say that the only emotion this beta gave me was a "Meh"
It feels very clunky and the user interface is a mess obviously. I like the fact that you can actually rotate the camera now(a feature which already makes the game a whole lot better then 6 was) but then again I would be really mad if the game didn't have this since that is pretty much a requirement since Heroes V.
The music is pretty good. I am not that convinced about the townscreens however. They feel lifeless and unfinished.
I know that this is mostly nitpicking obviously because beta but I do think that the devs still have a lot of work to do.
