I do think that the Main Menu screen is beautifully done, better than the previous one. Also, seeing the minimap in your Skirmish lobby was something I missed previously. Now you can also see your hero, his/her specialties etc, which I also missed in Beta 1. And the map settings, although imo one thing is missing: leveling speed, setting it to Normal, Fast or Fastest like in H6. At least then you can reach max level in one Skirmish map.
I see improvements, my list of reports is nowhere near as long as it was...but I haven't been playing much either . Oh well, I can honestly say that the Snatch-ability from the Explorer-section works just fine.

So I got a key the other day I registered at the MMH7 site, on their beta page. They said I would get an email when beta was ready to download, but I haven't got anything yet. The site is hammered, so I can't login on the site to check. Where do I get the client to download? Do I go via Uplay?
Edit: I got access to the homepage now. Uplay it is!

There is a tendency in the market to implement such results. In Final Fantasy XV, according to some old info, you can win every battle by using only one button on the controller. Fire Emblem: Fates gets a "Phoenix" mode, in which after a character dies, it gets ressurected in the next turn. Key words in here are "can" and "mode." Old players can still go and play in their old ways.
I agree, I would never use such a feature in my play, but as long as it is optional, I have nothing against it. I would still play in my traditional way, why should I be bothered by such an option? If it gets more players to play the game and it remains optional, then I cannot have nothing against it.

Doesn't work for me. Took 5 mins to load and now I'm stuck for more than 10 mins in the loafing screen, before I even see the main menu. Exiting.

I cant see the names of the creatures in the hungarian version on the map just the difficulty and that how many they are.

And why we cant see the description of the creature skills in the town ? We can only see an icon about the skill. Or a concept art behind them.
In battlefields everything is good. We can see the skills too. Also the elemental forge where we must fight elementals just put icons of things artefacts and no description what their names and what they give.

Okay, so I got into the beta as well.
First the good:
- Loading screens and the main manu are gorgeous
- Good music (Paul Romero and Rob King knows how to make music)
- Quick bar for spells during combat is a welcome addition
- Unit health and damage is an improvement over H6 but still not as good as prior to that game
- W8ing for enemy during his turns is good, it's fast. ( only tried 1v1)
And the bad:
- Sound and animation isn't in sync (no sound for hitting enemy, combat feels boring and powerless because of this)
- Everything happening too fast on the combat screen. A whole lot of morale boosts, dmg, enemies retaliate immediately, so you can't comprehend at first what the heck is happening. (It was like this in H6 too)
- Everything wants to be too flashy/cool. Gaining resources (daily growth isn't added instantly, wait for a few secs and it's added to the pool), moving creature icons makes annoying slashing noises or defeating an enemy on the map first shows you that the stack disappears, then zooms out and gives you the control. It's annoying and slows down the game.
- The whole game is too washed out
- On the combat screen sometimes you can't tell which creature faces in which direction, because everything is too small or because the colours are washed out (and those stack numbers are in the way too)
- I couldn't cancel casting a spell after I clicked on it in the spellbook, it just stuck, couldn't change the hero to attack and not cast that spell
- Can't see the damage of the enemy creatures (just attack defense, initiate etc, but no damage)
- Buildings almost cost nothing only gold
- During the enemies turn on advanture map, you can't see your resources
- AI is and idiot, doesn't capture mines and doesn't pick up resources
- and lastly the game feels sluggish... loading before combat, opening the town (you cant double click on the adventure map the open town), w8ing for your character to turn around if you order him to the opposite direction, navigating on the combat screen etc
It is boring for me just like H6, and It plays almost like H6 and it feels like a low budget, low quality game, which the heroes games never were before H6. (H4 still feels much more fleshed out than this H6-H7 duo) So I skip this one, maybe next time they'll learn how to make a proper Heroes game.

Surprising that you say that, they seem longer than in H5 to me, waiting for AI turns on the 4 players map is excruciating.
Oh, and I've been killing nearly everything with Pixies, too much strength for core units again?

Overall i`m positive about the beta. The turn times for 4 player maps are about twice what i can take. I could accept them for a 8 player map but 4 is not acceptable. End one turn on a 4 player map on simultanious and you will see.

From my experience the AI raids resources rather then takes them over. I think when you capture a city you can start taking them over. They dont change hands when you capture enemy mills/mines etc.

When you play on hard or expert level instead of normal. Those resources really start to count. I could not build those unit growth building when i did not know where to mine on a fresh map.
So far i would like to see far less gold but then i mostly pick gold instead of xp on the chests.

It was a few seconds here, but as I said on 1v1. Maybe it's because I have a new system.

1. It didn't even took the mines which were at his side, nothing.
2. But why does everything needs to be so cheap on normal difficulty?

If I remember from my experience, it wasn't clear until you drag the spell by the left mouse button.

How the fuk we get the beta? I entered that code, and now got a fabulous screen saying "you have now secured your access to beta".
And then? Nothing is clickable.
