We still don't know what exactly Strider is but i agree with you it will be more tanky probably. And you are right, Dungeon as it is now is more Might oriented IMO.
The problem is that the Shadow Witch will probably be a Hero class but i also want her to return.
Bat will be another melee unit, maybe with life drain i guess. Hmmm

Actually strider will be more support/saboteur kind of unit with the ability 'heart of darkness' (also in the line-up article it's described as saboteur), minotaur will be more tanky unit

I’d like to see this Ahool thingy in the core and spell caster will be good for the elite creature but I’m happy with Manticore too.

it feels more of a Damage dealer then. Since between basic and upgrade the initiative and attack see the better rise.

So each faction will have a walking melee elite that will be much stronger than the other elites...However they will be very similar to all the other faction's strong walking elites..This adds more variety to the game so now each faction gets a strong half champion, melee walking elite unit, to play around with. Cool.

yeah, I hope they keep an eye on this. But I don't think this is a big problem as it could be for champions, if things are done right. Specially in h7, where we want to choose different champions to support different strategies. I'm more worried about abilities.
In the past games we also had a ton of lvl6 walkers. h5 did a really nice job here, because of special abilities and spell books. Taking h5 initial release, we had 5 walkers and 1 shooter, but thanks to abilities/spellbooks, pit lord = walker/caster hybrid, shadow witch = shooter/caster hybrid, etc.
Another important thing to consider is growth per week. For non-champions, there is a wider variation of growth numbers.
That said, I think/hope that in h7 release lamasu will be our lvl6 flyer.

Regarding possible expansions to armies - why not add Dragon Golem as fourth elite to Academy? We know that they exist in Ashan, they were relatively underused in Heroes games (they only appeared in Heroes IV) and their position in Elite, not among Champions, can be explained by the fact that they are only copies of Dragons and as such they can't reach the same power as true dragons. Regarding the fourth core unit in Dungeon - it is a problematic task to find a good one. I would personally go with Skirmisher/Bloody Sister but knowing how much people "love" Dark Elves, this might be a risky choice...

well, you guys could probably update the Dungeon artwork now
I'd say put lurker in core anyway but make sure it's a different lurker. Duplicates aren't exactly rare considering Rampart has a treant as warfare and we're guessing Stronghold has Cyclops. just please. No elves.
I second dragon-golem for Academy elite.
For HAven I'd say a second Female is kind of mandatory. Maybe a griffin rider? It's a pretty popular one from what i can gather (Though it might work better for champ)

Yes, a griffin rider is a very decent idea. I just realized that there is one unit that I miss very much in Haven and these are... peasants. With peasants, there would be no need to repeat Griffins in core (as they would be in Griffin riders) and besides, a very interesting ability would come back ("Taxpayer"). Moreover, a superb raw material for skellies will be available once again.

Ugh Dragon golem elite was what I was wanting from the beginning. The art from its Duel of Champion Card is really neat too.I was thinking with a new game, academy wasnt in the last one, we got all these DoC cards with cool academy creatures.....But we got the typical line up. Which isn't that bad cause I like academy but it was a little disappointing.
But Yea definitly a +1 for dragon golem elite and griffin rider

I just did For now I have put Ahool in Dungeon 4th core, the other reliable option for non elf unit is centipede, but a flier in core would be better
Added Dragon golem as 4th elite creature idea, the other good option is arcane archer but there is already a shooter, so the dragon might be better the only thing is that it might be too powerful for elite, although it could be smaller than regular dragon
The Griffin rider is a good idea but it won't work in this scenario, a griffin is replacement for wolf in HVII vanilla campaign so it's very unlikely there would be a griffin rider in some DLC or expansion
What do you guys think of necropolis ? Do you like the zombie and abomination (there is a abomination in DoC) or maybe the bone golem would be better ? or something else ?

Bone golem is better than an abomination, that's for sure. Zombies really only are there because there aren't that many fitting options. Maybe ghouls but they're kinda dull even compared to zombies...
Ahool is a great idea! ...what is it? Other than some kind of bat i mean.
If griffins are core i wouldn't rule out elite-tier Griffin riders (though they do seem a tad small for it...). do we know if there are larger species of Griffin?

I would like to see academy a bit more beastly, they have a faction that mutate creatures after all (house chimera). So an alternate elite should naturally be, a chimera! (As seen in mythology). For core i would personally like to see the boars return, they could be plain boars, construct boars, or why not boarmen? Give them throwing axes and you got yourself a H4 orc "homage".
Sylvan should get white tigers as new cores, they could use the shadow panther model as a base. Elites should ofc (as already suggested) be a unicorn/pegasus mash up, sounds great.
Stronghold should get goblins as alternate cores. Personally i liked the goblin shaman from ToE and its function, shouldnt be so hard to implement. As alternate elite id say roc/thunderbird.

Do you guys have an actual thread for a Heroes Game proposal? I mean something from scratch, instead of spin offs, expansions or sequels? I'd be more interested on that if you had anything to show.
